Microsoft Teams / teams live questions

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding some Teams/Live functions.

1.  Is it possible to stream from Teams LIVE to an external encoder but WITHOUT selecting external equipment as the type.  We need to be able to host the event in Teams (producer view) but also stream it to an external encoder.

2.  Is it possible to manually add team members/guests to specific channels in a team so that they could only join/interact with those assigned to them (i.e. Breakout room function)

3. Is it possible to have closed captioning (subtitles) during a LIVE event using producer mode and if so how to do that?

4. Could we somehow enable recording in private channels.  Starting a private channel allows us to manually add users (manual breakout rooms) but then we cannot record the sessions.

There are more questions I would have depending on the answers to these.  If there is a support section where I could live chat with someone about these questions that would also be helpful.

Thank you,

Michael Szoke

Hi,

When you write Teams LIVE, I assume that is questions about Teams Live Events.

1. No that is not possible.

2. You can create private channels in a Team, then only members of that private channel will be able to interact with others in that private channel.

3. Yes, that is possible. But there is only support for a few spoken languages (English, German, and Chinese).
