Extracting Device and Participation Details in Microsoft Teams
Hi everyone, I am working on a project for my organization to extract detailed information about Teams calls. Specifically, I need to gather data on the devices used by participants, as well as their join and leave times for each Teams meeting. This includes both participants and organizers. My current approach involves: 1. Using Microsoft Graph API to access call and participant data. 2. Fetching relevant details such as device type, join time, and leave time. - What are the best practices for extracting and managing this data? - Are there any specific API endpoints or techniques you recommend for efficiently retrieving this information? - How can I ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data collected? - Are there any tools or libraries that can simplify this process? Green Blocky Glitch on Shared Screen in New Teams Meeting
I have a user on New Teams that repeatedly has trouble with screens being shared in meetings by other people showing up as a Green Blocky mess on her end. So far we have cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled New Teams, updated graphics drivers, tested her internet connection (measured at 300Mbps down by 35Mbps Up and she is the only user on it) performed normal system maintenance (SFC, D.I.S.M, CHKDSK), and restarts galore. I need to create a single temporary voicemail for all Teams Voice users for the Xmas break. Can someone please help with setting this up with best practice? When external contacts are added or synced they are shown as telephone numbers instead of the name associated with it. Amongst others this is the case under quick dial. If you go to recent calls it's shown as the name. Tested on an xcover totally locked down, teams in a work profile on another android device. This is not the case on an iPhone SE 3 with company portal with teams. There under quick dials and contacts it's shown as the name of the external contacts. As you might imagine this is going to pose quite the hassle to our users that have to call with non organisation external contacts. Please advice :-)
Controlling emails to channel
Hello, We have an RMM that emails a Teams channel when a server is offline. What they've started doing though is emailing again when it's back online. Is there a way to filter emails out that start with 'RE:' that go to the Teams channel? As the email isn't routed through our Exchange, the mail rules wont apply. Hello, is it possible to change the tab, that is initially opened, when you switch the channel to the tasks - tab? I did not find a way to achieve this, but I have a variety of channels in place and would always like to start with the respective task tab of this channel. Regards, Christian
Teams Feedback for Meeting Recordings
Good Morning, Unfortunately, GCC Tenant users still can't post feedback through the feedback portal, so I am using this forum to post a suggestion for an improvement to teams. One gap I see is related to Teams recording notification, that I think is probably a universal challenge for most government Departments and Agencies and other sectors as well. Please see the suggestion below. Can you please add a feature to Teams that verbally tells users who join a Teams meeting via Teams or via the phone that "The meeting is being recorded," which will help with the blind attendees who can't see meeting recording icon or for the attendees that miss the icon all together. Additionally, since some people who are unfamiliar with Teams miss the meeting recording icon in the top right-hand corner and for the deaf attendees if there is an onscreen pop-up that says "Meeting is being recorded," which they would need to click "Ok" to affirm that they are okay with joining the meeting that is being recorded. Additionally, I suggest that when the meeting recording feature is turned on when you are in a meeting you have the option of doing an onscreen modal prompt that hides a majority of what is displayed until the click on the "Ok" button similar to when joining above. Just like when they join a meeting, I would also suggest that Teams does a verbal prompt telling the attendee, "Meeting is being recorded" for the attendees who are already in a meeting as well. If they do add this feature to the meeting then I would recommend that they could still centrally manage it through the Admin console to have it automatically be turned on for the whole domain, be self-managed by the organizer or have an option to have it disabled be default if that is what the admin elects to do. Hi, I am looking to reorganise the structure of Teams at our company and remove the option for team members to create private or public channels. Is there a way that I can set up a Teams layout e.g Channel 1 Sub Channel 1a Sub Channel 1b Channel 2 Sub Channel 2a Sub Channel 2b Channel 3 Sub Channel 3a Channel 4 Sub Channel 4a And roll this out to all employees so they have the same structure under Teams tab?
