Microsoft Lists - Question for default sort option
Hi Microsoft, I am using the Lists App within Microsoft Teams to keep a data log. The data log appears to filter automatically by the order in which each entry line was added. Is there a way to apply a default sort based on the data in one of the columns? I am able to apply this manually each time I open the List, but it would be great if this could be the default upon opening the List. Thanks!melisa2023Mar 12, 2025Copper Contributor19KViews1like6CommentsPSTN forwarding (Microsoft Calling plan)
We are using Microsoft Calling Plan and have assigned 10-digit numbers to staff. One admin assistant is handling incoming (external) calls for their supervisor who does not want the PSTN calls ringing him directly in Teams. But with forwarding on, we're noticing ALL calls - including web and video, and including internal calls - are being forwarded. While this is useful for some scenarios, traditional delegation would call for distinguishing incoming external PSTN calls. What "clean" options do we have to forward the external PSTN calls to the assistant? I feel like this should already be an explicit setting in the Teams Call settings... Ideally the supervisor would retain the line for outbound and dial by name. I'm guessing I could create (yet another) call queue and assign both people, then opt out the supervisor (who does not want the incoming PSTN calls ringing him directly in Teams). But that means we lose outbound calls unless I assign a separate line to the supervisor and turn on an outbound caller ID policy that maps to the (now shared) line. Is there a way to change the notification settings for everyone that is part of a Team Channel? In other words... we have a channel in our Teams chat that we want everyone to receive notifications for whenever there is a reply in that channel. I don't mind using PowerShell or whatever I need to use in order to achieve this. We just want everyone on the team to receive notifications for all replies in a channel. Background: We attempted to migrate a client group to Teams in order to enable functionality with our Office 365 setup. We have an app for them to use, and we have a Site that we share files on, etc. This group of people are newer to technology, so having everything be user-friendly is a must. The problem came up that nobody was receiving notifications for replies in the Team channels. They are only used to SMS text messaging and group texting, so they want to use the channels similarly to group texts. The group ended up switching back to texting because its easier for them to use. We need them to switch to Teams, so we want to fix this issue for them and make things as easy as possible.SolvedReylin4Mar 12, 2025Brass Contributor201KViews8likes36CommentsMeeting Options are limited
Hello, I have run into a problem of not having a full access to meeting options. I would like to schedule meetings for other people in the office where I do not necessarily have to attend. I would also like to assign other people as co-hosts so that they are able to admit people and have more control of the meeting. There should be settings of being able to let people come in without waiting in the waiting room as well, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Here is the attached screenshot: These are the only two options I get when clicking "Meeting Options". Additionally, whenever I set up a meeting, some people are not able to respond to it because they get an error of undeliverable response: "delivery has failed to these recipients or groups". What is the issue here? Does it have to do with how Outlook is set up? How can I change these limitations and errors? Thank you so much!abilonozhkoMar 11, 2025Occasional Reader19Views0likes0CommentsCoreError::CDL_WORKER_FAILURE

Using the Teams Calendar function: Before a meeting is started, there is a need to add invitees to an existing meeting. Is there way to add the invitee so only the new invitee receives the invitation. Currently, when this function is attempted, all of the invites receive the meeting invitation. If you use Outlook Calendar, it gives you the option to update only the new invitees or all invitees. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks.SolvedChuckB23Mar 11, 2025Copper Contributor1.2MViews1like32CommentsMicrosoft Imposes 1-Year Retention for Teams Meeting Attendance Reports
Microsoft has enabled a one-year retention policy for Teams meeting attendance reports. Tenants can’t opt out of the policy or set a different retention period. Microsoft says that the new policy exists to make sure that Teams complies with the Microsoft privacy policy. Another way of looking at the situation is that the new policy will simply remove some old data that no one ever looks at. https://office365itpros.com/2025/03/11/attendance-report-retention-policy/28Views0likes0Comments
