Hi, I just had a Teams interview on my laptop and my sound was not working. As such, I couldn't hear them speak, and they couldn't hear me speak. My microphone was not muted. My audio volume setting was turned up. (I ended up phoning them up and using the phone to speak/listen) The video bit of Teams was working. I had 5 Teams interviews on this same laptop last week and the sound was fine. After the interview I checked my speakers and microphone and they are working fine. As such, why do they not work when i am on a Teams Call? How can I check that my microphone and speaker both work on Teams? I checked my microphone works by going to voicerecorder.org and recorded my voice then played it back and it showed my microphone was working fine. I also played music on youtube which proved that my speakers are fine. So why did my speakers and microphone not work when I was on the Teams call? I am using windows 11 home. Laptop is Huawei Matebook D.31Views0likes2CommentsCaller hears silence when redirected from an Auto Attendant to another Teams User.
Maybe someone can help me. If I setup an Auto Attendant to redirect to a voice user in my organization, the caller gets silence on their end. It does not play any ringing, hold music, or anything. However, when calling the voice user directly (not through the AA), the caller hears ringing. Is there a setting to maintain the caller hearing either ringing OR hold music when transferred from an Auto Attendant to another Voice User that I might be missing. I have music on hold setup with an audio file. It is almost like it is not on hold, but not really ringing (for the caller). And yes, even if it is dead silent while ringing the voice user, if the voice user answers, the caller is connected. So it is just something with being redirected from an auto attendant to a voice user.Solved80Views0likes3CommentsYealink MP56 with Teams SBA Issue
Has anyone gotten Yealink MP56, or any other Teams IP phone working with SBA? We've been testing failover to SBA by restricting access to the internet for Teams devices. The Windows desktop client fails over to SBA without issue. The desktop client shows the banner of lost internet access and continues to make/receive PSTN calls. The Yeallink phones never show a banner, and can't make/receive PSTN calls. We have support cases open with Microsoft and Yealink but they have not gone beyond collecting logs.1.7KViews0likes5CommentsTeams SIP Gateway connected phones and voicemails
We have a strange issue. A Teams user got a new SIP device that is successfully integrated via SIP Gateway. If a caller leaves a message, it will appear as a voicemail in Outlook, all Teams apps and devices. The SIP device also shows that there is a new voicemail, but if we want to listen to the voicemail and press 1, we get told that there are no voicemails. Do we need to change or add anything in the configuration? Regards, Matthias702Views0likes3CommentsRegular mobile phone call forces Teams meeting in desktop app on hold - how to disable?
Hello everyone, I was in a large Teams meeting on the desktop application. My desktop is connected to a Microsoft Teams-certified Jabra Evolve2 65 headset. I then received a regular phone call on my mobile phone, which also has Microsoft Teams installed and is connected to my Teams-certified Jabra Evolve2 65 headset. I accepted the call on my phone, which is where I was called. I also accepted it on the phone in such a way that the phone was used as microphone/speaker (like a regular phone). However, accepting the call placed the large Teams meeting on hold. This cannot be happening again in the future. How do I prevent a normal mobile phone call from putting a Teams meeting on my desktop app on hold? I was later unable to resume the large Teams meeting, but that is a separate problem that does not need to be addressed (the meeting would "resume", but I was unable to see or hear the participants). The above problem is the one I want addressed - no holding of a Teams meeting on the desktop application upon receiving and accepting a mobile phone call. There are no relevant options available. Sincerely Diddy34Views0likes1CommentTeams Call History
When viewing the call history in Teams, it appears not all of the history is showing. For example, it will show all of my calls today, most of the calls yesterday and then its spotty for the last few months. Some days are completely gone while it shows a few call from 2 months ago.29KViews0likes4CommentsAuto Attendant Call Forwarding: How to Mask Caller ID for External Transfers
Hello everyone, I have a question about the configuration of the Auto Attendant. A brief explanation of the problem: I am currently creating a hotline for one of our business units. A routing point of the Auto Attendant should be that the number 3 is forwarded to the specified external number by pressing a key. Everything works as it should. Now comes the problem: This number, to which the call is then forwarded, is the location of an attendant console (AC-Win system) of our Hipath4000 telephone system of one of our receptions. This can display which hotline the caller is currently coming from. This requires the Auto Attendant to remove the number of the actual caller when forwarding and to forward the call in the context of another predefined number. Is it possible to realize this? Via caller ID policies or something similar? Best regards Elias77Views0likes1CommentPSTN forwarding (Microsoft Calling plan)
We are using Microsoft Calling Plan and have assigned 10-digit numbers to staff. One admin assistant is handling incoming (external) calls for their supervisor who does not want the PSTN calls ringing him directly in Teams. But with forwarding on, we're noticing ALL calls - including web and video, and including internal calls - are being forwarded. While this is useful for some scenarios, traditional delegation would call for distinguishing incoming external PSTN calls. What "clean" options do we have to forward the external PSTN calls to the assistant? I feel like this should already be an explicit setting in the Teams Call settings... Ideally the supervisor would retain the line for outbound and dial by name. I'm guessing I could create (yet another) call queue and assign both people, then opt out the supervisor (who does not want the incoming PSTN calls ringing him directly in Teams). But that means we lose outbound calls unless I assign a separate line to the supervisor and turn on an outbound caller ID policy that maps to the (now shared) line. Thanks!Solved66Views0likes1CommentExternally and Internally Call Divert
