I'm trying to join a Teams Meeting with a bot. I used this https://microsoftgraph.github.io/microsoft-graph-comms-samples/docs/articles/index.html#making-an-outbound-call-to-join-an-existing-microsoft-teams-meeting sample. When the bot attempts to join I get the popup to admit or deny it in the meeting, but as soon as I click admit, it drops. In the logs I see this message: Call status updated to Terminated - Did not receive valid response for JoinCall request from call modality controller.. DiagCode: 580#5426.@ I am using the latest (1.2.0.10563 at time of writing) version of Microsoft.Graph.Communications libraries and the problem only started after I updated from 1.2.0.3742 that I was using previously. I could not find any info on what the call modality controller is, or how to check what it is responding if anything. Any ideas on how to troublshoot this are welcome.1.2KViews2likes12CommentsRingtones keeps playing after answer
With the roll out of the Windows Teams app 25332.1210.4188.1171 an old bug resurfaced. If the user answers an incoming call too quickly the ringtones won't stop playing. To make the ringtones stop the user must exit Teams and restart the application. I think this is the third time with different versions we have seen this bug. When using 3rd party tools that automatically answers the call for the user this happens basically with every call. Please roll out a fixed version asap. Please add a test case so that this won't happen again. Teams shows incoming call toast and the call is answered very quickly. Teams starts playing the ringtone Teams is waiting for the call to get answered The call has already been answered so there won't be an answered event that stops the ringtones from playing. The user keeps hearing the ringtones while trying to have a conversation The user must restart Teams to make the ringtones stop. I have a holiday schedule applied to an auto attendant. That schedule contains all of our annual holidays. In the auto attendant holiday call flow routing options, I have it play an audio file and I specify menu options to redirect to voicemail or to search by name. What I want to do is just change the audio file that's played for the greeting to be appropriate for the holiday (we'll be closed for Christmas, New Year, etc.). But when I delete the current audio file and upload a new one, the Save option is greyed out. I thought perhaps it was just auto-saved, so go out to the list of auto attendants, then back into that attendant and check to see what audio file is listed. It's the one I just uploaded. Ok, cool. I refresh the browser tab and check again. Now it's the previous greeting. The only way I have found to save that new audio file, is to make some other change to the call flow (change Directory search option) which makes the Save button available. I save it and it takes me out of the holiday call flow setting, so I go back in (my new greeting is now saved) and change the Directory search option back to what it was previously and save again. There's got to be an easier way, right?21Views0likes0CommentsRemote participants can't hear me when they speak
Hi, I've been trying to solve this problem for a long time. We're using Windows 11 (previously Windows 10) with all the latest updates. We have a Jabra 810 connected to our computer. Everything works fine. But when the other person starts talking, he stops hearing us (or our voice is so quiet they don't notice). As soon as he stops talking, he starts hearing us normally again. What could be the cause, and how can I fix this? Best regards, Dmitry94Views0likes4CommentsProblems with synchronizing speed dial buttons between Yealink MP56 E2 and Yealink EXP50
Hello everyone, I have the following problem. We have several Yealink MP56 E2 Teams phones with connected Yealink EXP50 key extensions. Unfortunately, for about half a year now, the synchronization of speed dial keys between the phone and the key extension has only been possible to a limited extent. Specifically, you can create contacts on the phone and add them to speed dial via the phone. However, in 99 out of 100 cases, this is not synchronized. The same applies to deleting contacts. What's strange is that the deleted contact is not actually deleted from the phone itself and reappears after 2 seconds. I had already read that this error has occurred from time to time in recent years. Unfortunately, there has been no noticeable improvement in the last six months. I have already tried the following: Resetting the phone, rebooting after changes, disconnecting the connection between MP56 E2 and EXP50, logging back into the phone, updating the phone's firmware and the phone's Teams app. Unfortunately, none of this has been successful. Does anyone else have any ideas or has Microsoft made an official statement that there are problems here?80Views0likes1CommentTeams Queue Announce Position and Estimated Hold Time
We desperately need more advanced configuration with call queues in Teams. We need to have periodic announcements of the current position, and optionally an estimated hold time. The user that answers the call needs to be alerted of the callers wait time upon answering the call. This is a basic feature that is missing, and causing great frustration for my customers.4.6KViews0likes7CommentsInbound calls to teams number show my company name and not the callers ID
Teams Voice, number type Operator Connect. Issue is when an external call is received the caller ID shows my company name and not the actual callers ID. The only policy enabled is a global default policy with the following settings Block incoming Caller ID - OFF Override the caller ID policy - ON User claims inbound caller ID used to work until an issue recent where the number was unassigned from the user and then re-assigned back to him.24Views0likes0CommentsClient authentication EKU changes in public TLS certificate
Hi, Can someone clarify the upcoming change to remove the client authentication EKU and the conflicting information within MS docs for Teams Direct Routing certificates? As stated here from October 2025 there is an industry wide change to remove the client authentication EKU from issued TLS certificates: https://knowledge.digicert.com/alerts/sunsetting-client-authentication-eku-from-digicert-public-tls-certificates However, both server and client EKU's are required for mTLS and Microsoft states here that both server and client EKU's are required: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/direct-routing-whats-new#sbc-certificates-eku-extensions-test Digicert are offering an X9 PKI that includes both server and client EKU's but it seems the signing CA is not trusted by Microsoft at this stage. What guidance are Microsoft offering with this upcoming change to ensure that customers are not affected when renewing their certificates?82Views0likes1CommentTeams Auto Attendant Calls Not Ringing Agents
Hello Community, We are facing a recurring issue with our Microsoft Teams Auto Attendant (AA) setup. Incoming calls to our main AA number do not ring the assigned agents' Teams clients. Instead, agents only receive a "Missed Call" notification once the caller disconnects or the AA timeout expires, even though the call never audibly rang on their end. We are looking for a reliable way to ensure calls are properly routed, audibly ring for agents, and are accurately logged for follow-up. Environment Details Platform: Microsoft Teams (Admin Center, New Teams Client) Licenses: Microsoft 365 E3/E5 for users; Teams Phone Resource Account licenses assigned to AA resource accounts Routing: Auto Attendant routes directly to a person within the organization Observed Behavior A customer calls the Auto Attendant number. The customer selects an option that routes to a person in the organization. The customer disconnects while waiting in the AA queue, or the AA timeout is reached. Agents see a "Missed Call" entry in their Teams activity feed, but no ringing notification or active call alert ever appeared in the Teams client. Troubleshooting Performed Microsoft Diagnostics: The M365 Admin Center diagnostic tool flagged the existing AA resource account as invalid and recommended deletion and recreation. Recreated Resource Account: Deleted the old resource account, created a new one, reassigned licenses and phone numbers, and re-linked it to the Auto Attendant. Despite these steps, the issue persists. We have an open case with Microsoft Support, but we are hoping the community might have additional insights or workarounds for this "ghost missed call" scenario. Questions for the Community Has anyone else experienced missed call notifications without the call actually ringing on the agent's Teams client? Are there any PowerShell configurations, Teams policies, or advanced Teams Phone settings that could be causing or resolving this behavior?55Views0likes0CommentsOverriding Original Number in Call Transfer
Hello I have Teams with Direct Routing setup. I understand that in a call transfer, the phone number from original caller will be preserved up until the call reach to final transferee. But I have a case that this original caller number must be replaced by the Teams user's DID who does the transfer. I already disabled the Forward History, switching settings on Forward PAI even playing with Caller ID policy but still the original caller number shows up. I got recommendation doing it on SBC level but I will try as much as possible not to touch the SBC unless I really have to. Can it be done on Teams side or is it really need to be done on SBC level? Thank you in advance.40Views0likes0Comments
