How to create a shared company calendar for time off and holidays?
I'M LOST I have spent DAYS trying to figure out some way to provide a shared company calendar with Holidays, PTO Schedules, On-Call Schedules, etc. We just want one place to see what's going on this week, who's available, and do we have a day off this week. BASIC information. After spending more than 3 days on this, I feel more lost than I did when I started. I could create a SharePoint Calendar. This calendar doesn't sync with Outlook for Mac or Apple Calendars and, most importantly, reoccurring events don't show up on a SharePoint Events web part. I could manually create reoccurring events but I rather not. Regardless, the functionality is incredibly limited. I could create a new M365 user. This would let me see these calendar in Apple Calendars and give myself or another admin access to update events. But this calendar can't be integrated in SharePoint or Teams so it's basically invisible. I could create a Channel Calendar in Teams but that's certainly not appropriate. I could create a new Group with a Calendar. Although, we already have a org-Wide Team and it doesn't actually do anything - can't email orgteam@company.comand it doesn't come with an Outlook calendar. I don't think I should have to add someone to a group for them to see a calendar I want public to the entire company. This might be the best compromise but that's besides the point. The POINT is, WHY in the world isn't this a built-in feature that's turned on the moment a company creates a M365 tenant? WHY do I need to spend days figuring out that all the archaic tutorials from 2017 don't even work in 2021? WHY can't MICROSOFT make calendars easy? I mean, I'd settle for difficult - it's better than impossible. And, not for nothing, I look like a complete idiot (I very well may be!) when my boss asks me to do something that should take 2 minutes and I have absolutely nothing to show 3 days later. Q: What is your business doing to let you know you have Memorial day off? How are you able to see if someone has the week off for vacation? Hi there, for a week now, Entra ID guests from Our M365 tenant have not been able to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app. Error message: "Unfortunately, an error occurred" after the number was confirmed in the app. We are sure that the problem is not in our tenant settings - but also dont find informations about a microsoft issue. Microsoft ticket opened. But Microsoft has been silent for a few days. Any ideas?
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word issues after the recent Office updates
I use Interop.Word from a Winforms application for interaction with Word documents. Everything was okay until the latest Office 365 updates on 10/31. Word hangs when used from within Interop.Word. Issue resolved itself when Office update is rolled back. Did something happen or change with respect to Interop.Word during this update? I haven’t seen any other reported issues regarding this. Any suggestion on what I can do to fix it without having to rollback? thanks
Trouble Sending to Gmail / Google Workspace domains
Hello, we have been having ongoing issues sending to gmail or Google workspace addresses for months now. I know that Google tightened up their requirement so domains had to have solid SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup, which we do and always have. We've worked around the issue all this time by using a connector and mail flow rule in Exchange online. This has worked OK, but every time we run into a new company we are dealing with that uses Google for email, we need to manually add them to the rule. This has lead to some problems and is disruptive and of course I fear that it may break at some point. We've registered our domain with the Google postmaster tools and it's verified there. We've opened tickets with Google months ago and get no response. Microsoft support tells us everything is fine on our end and it's Google's issue. This is the error we get: Error: 550 5.7.350 Remote server returned message detected as spam -> 550 5.7.1 [2a01:111:f403:2412::72e 19] Gmail has detected that this message;is likely suspicious due to the very low reputation of the sending;domain. To best protect our users from spam, the message has been;blocked. For more information, go to; https://support.google.com/mail/answer/188131 98e67ed59e1d1-2e059080a69si2208538a91.116 - gsmtp Message rejected by: mx.google.com There is no spamming or anything coming out of our domain and we have a very small volume of email. Online checks of our domain don't show any reputation issues or blacklists. I've seen I think dozens of other people complaining about this issue, but don't really see any actual solution other than the email connector workaround. Anyone have any suggestions? MS Word Mac lagging/freezing
In the last few days (November 2024) my MS Word for Mac has been either freezing, or running very slow. I type letters and they take over 30 seconds to appear. Other times, the program just freezes altogether (though it does not appear as frozen in the "force quit". I have tried rebooting several times, closing other programs, etc. but no luck.How Microsoft Copilot Generates Compliance Records

After checking the compliance records captured by the Microsoft 365 substrate, we discovered that Microsoft Copilot generates compliance records. However, a bug with encoded text means that the information captured for responses from Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft 365 Chat isn't visible.
