Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word issues after the recent Office updates

I use Interop.Word from a Winforms application for interaction with Word documents. Everything was okay until the latest Office 365 updates on 10/31. Word hangs when used from within Interop.Word. Issue resolved itself when Office update is rolled back. 

Did something happen or change with respect to Interop.Word during this update?

I haven’t seen any other reported issues regarding this. Any suggestion on what I can do to fix it without having to rollback?
