Excel work sheet

Morning,

 

I please need assistance with an excel work sheet.

 

We are a few people working on the sheet.  I need some columns to be locked so that they cannot be changed or moved.

 

I also need to have the work book to be shared that one or more people can work on it the same time without losing the data.  There is also formulas in this sheet and do not one them to be corrupt, changed or moved.

Hey,

The description is quite generic but I get the gist.

In such instances I'd normally employ one of two strategies:

- use Excel online (but it has limited functionality and hence I don't tend to use it as much)

- have it structured in a way that:

  -- every user has their own separate files for data entry

  -- there is one central file that pulls/combines all the data (via Power Query aka Get & Transform) from various (those separate) user WBs and houses all the important formulas.

i.e., separate data from logic.
