Tried in excel for mac 2016,

and tried ion office 365 web

I am trying to combine 2 cells,

I have tried =concatenate(a1, " " ,B1) dint work,

tried =A1& " " &b1 didnt work

What do you mean exactly under "didnt work" ? You have an error, or unexpected result or what?

=concatenate(a1, " " ,B1) this shows up in cell c1, not the combine names

Change the number format of C1 to General. Press F2 and ENTER.
