How to transfer 100 gb large files from Windows 10 to 11
I just got a new computer running Windows 11, and I need to transfer a huge batch of large files from my old Windows 10 machine. We're talking about over 100GB of data, mostly videos and project files. The files are too big for cloud uploads and a standard USB stick is a no-go. Looking for the fastest and most reliable method to let quickly and safely transfer 100 gb files from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I've heard about using an external hard drive, home network transfers, or special software. What's the best setup? I have a router and can connect both PCs to my local network if that helps. Appreciate any step-by-step advice.CaliforniaGoldenJan 15, 2026Iron Contributor12Views0likes3CommentsPhotos - Slideshow is systematically put back into MAGNIFYING GLASS?

Good morning Windows 10 offers me to upgrade to Windows 11, but I want to change my hard drive to upgrade to an SSD. Regarding the license, in what order should I take it? Another question, is the migration done via an update, or do you have to download an ISO?ObellaiconJan 15, 2026Bronze Contributor2Views0likes0CommentsBackup larger than copy on Windows computer?

A major new Windows 11 update has introduced widespread stability issues affecting core system functionality. Many users, including myself, are now experiencing frequent and disruptive problems like File Explorer crashes, slow performance, taskbar glitches, and Bluetooth failures, which together make the operating system frustratingly unreliable for daily use.TheoDaltonJan 15, 2026Iron Contributor39KViews4likes17CommentsTask bar space not being used?

Does anyone know how to do this? My startup is getting super clogged and it's slowing my PC down. I've poked around in Settings a bit but I'm not totally sure what's safe to disable. I am trying to improve my PC's boot time by controlling which applications launch automatically when I start Windows 11. Can someone walk me through the best way to disable autostart apps on Windows 11? I don't find a way to do that currently.JulianEdwardsJan 15, 2026Iron Contributor44Views0likes7CommentsHow to completely remove number-named file folder?
After Direct upgrading Win10 to Win11 on my PC, a Wondows.old folder appeared in C:\. Today I compulsively deleted it using some tool but another folder named with a number emerged, which is tens of KB in size and contains thousands of subdirectories. I've deleted the number named folder with the same toole for many times, but it always emerges with a varying number each time. Does anyone of you have idea to completely remove this folder? Thanks.LennoxFordJan 15, 2026Iron Contributor32Views0likes2CommentsWindows 11, Phone paired and connects for a few seconds before disconnecting again.
Device: Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 PHN16-72 Issue: Bluetooth was working fine for the first week after setup, but it now fails to stay connected with any smartphone. I need Bluetooth for features like Dynamic Lock. When connecting from the laptop to a phone, the connection briefly succeeds and then disconnects. When connecting from the phone to the laptop, the phone says: "Can't connect to [device name]". Troubleshooting steps already attempted: Uninstalled all Bluetooth drivers using Device Manager and reinstalled the latest from Acer’s support site Unpaired and restarted both laptop and phone before trying again Removed old ibtusb driver files using pnputil /enum-drivers Ran the Bluetooth Troubleshooter in Windows Settings Installed all available Windows Updates Disabled Fast Startup in Power Options Checked that Bluetooth services are running in services.msc Tried multiple phones to confirm it’s not a device-specific issue Used Intel Driver & Support Assistant to check for missing drivers (none found) Temporarily disabled antivirus to check for software interference Would appreciate any guidance or additional steps I can try to fully resolve this. Thanks in advance.bryaniJan 15, 2026Copper Contributor344Views0likes3Comments
