When I select a file in File Explorer and press the F2 key to enter rename mode, the rename text box flashes briefly and then automatically closes, preventing me from entering a new filename. I have to press F2 repeatedly to successfully enter rename mode, and I can only rename the file normally by selecting “Rename” from the right-click menu.9Views0likes1CommentWhich WiFi card to get for Windows 11?
Hey, really basic question. I recently bought a Dell Precision 3460 i5-12500 and need to get a wifi card. Which one do I get? Are the ax210 and ax211 interchangeable on this model, or is there a better one than these I could get? I haven’t had much experience with anything other than Macs hence why I’m unsure. The computer hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t look at the slot either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!58Views0likes1CommentHow to Use different calendar on Windows 11
I'm trying to figure out how to use different calendars on Windows 11 so I can keep separate schedules for work and personal life. I want to know if it's possible to have multiple calendars integrated within the system or if I need to use specific apps or settings to manage them effectively.36Views0likes1CommentHow to delete failed updates from history etc on Windows 11
I'm trying to figure out how to clean up my Windows Update history on Windows 11, specifically to remove records of failed updates that keep showing up. I've already tried running the Windows Update Troubleshooter and clearing the SoftwareDistribution folder, but the failed update entries still remain in the update history list, and it's getting annoying to look at. Is there a safe way to delete or reset the update history log so those failed attempts no longer appear, or is this information stored somewhere in the registry or a system file that can be manually cleared? I would really appreciate any step-by-step guidance you can offer, keeping in mind that I'd prefer not to use any third-party tools if possible. Thank you in advance for your help.90Views0likes1CommentSystem Clock Warping After Dual-Boot
The system clock jumps forward or backward by exactly 4, 5, or 8 hours every time you boot back into Windows from Linux or macOS, due to one OS treating hardware clock as UTC while Windows treats it as local time — but the fix sometimes breaks time sync permanently.15Views0likes2CommentsLaptop (Win 11) powers on only plugged in
My laptop only powers on when it is connected to the AC adapter, but as soon as I unplug the charger, the system immediately shuts down, even though the battery icon sometimes shows a remaining charge. I have already tried recalibrating the battery, checking power settings, and updating the BIOS, but the issue persists, so I am wondering if this is a failing battery, a faulty charging circuit, or a software problem that can be resolved without replacing the hardware.30Views1like2CommentsWindows failed to activate after reinstallation
I was forced to reinstall windows 11 after my pin broke. I needed to update my BIOS and after doing so, I couldn't login. I cant remember exactly what it said, but it said my pin is longer working and I have to sign in a different way. For some reason no matter what I did, it would not connect me to the internet to actually do this. I thought its no bother because this windows installation is well past the point it needs to be refreshed anyway, so I went into recovery mode and selected the option of reinstalling windows but keeping my files. This worked, let me sign in but did not activated for some reason. I made windows installation media on a usb to reinstall windows fresh (after backing up all my files) and this did not work either. For some reason no matter what, windows is not activating. It gives the error 0xc004f213 (im not at my pc right now so this may be wrong). I have reinstalled windows many many times in the past and it activated automatically everytime as my windows license is linked to my microsoft account.29Views0likes2CommentsThe Windows 11 PC Blue Screen of Death
My Windows 11 PC frequently experiences the Blue Screen of Death, which abruptly crashes the system and displays an error message with a stop code. These crashes happen randomly during regular use or when running certain applications, causing significant disruption and potential data loss. The issue persists despite system updates and hardware checks, making it difficult to identify the root cause. I am seeking advice on how to diagnose and resolve this problem to prevent future blue screens and ensure my system runs stably and securely. Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.34Views0likes2CommentsThe Uninstaller Left 50 Registry Keys Behind
I recently uninstalled a program, but I noticed that it left behind about 50 registry keys on my Windows system. Despite using the standard uninstaller, these leftover registry entries remain, cluttering the registry and potentially causing issues or slowing down my computer over time. I am looking for advice on how to completely remove these residual registry keys to ensure my system stays clean and runs smoothly. Any suggestions or recommended tools for thorough registry cleaning after uninstallation would be greatly appreciated.25Views0likes1Comment
