Greetings, friends, For some reason, every year I seem to get this problem where I can put my PC to sleep, but it won't wake up from sleep state properly. The CPU lights up and fans power up but keyboard, mouse and monitor are all unresponsive. The only way to recover is to hard reboot PC. I have changed my card to an NVIDIA instead of Radeon in the previous profile of my PC. I am attaching the event viewer logs of "System" to help with any early troubleshooting or tips for further information. Kindly let me know if you have any suggestions for me, or any other information. Windows 25H2, version 26200.845734Views0likes6CommentsHow is the Tor operation using Windows 11?
I'm curious about how the Tor browser operates on Windows 11 and whether there are any specific steps or considerations I should be aware of when setting it up. I want to understand if there are any compatibility issues, performance differences, or security features that work differently on Windows 11 compared to other operating systems, so I can ensure a smooth and secure browsing experience.14Views0likes0CommentsChrome slow to start and slow to upload files on Win 11
About a month ago my Chrome browser became very slow to load and very slow to upload files. Once loaded tabs worked fine but if I had to upload a file there was a long delay. I tried everything I could find on the web to no avail. Then I installed the following update from Microsoft:- 2026-05 Preview Update (KB5089573) (26200.8524) This appears to have fixed the problem With Slow Chrome start-up and uploading files My System:- Processor AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor (3.60 GHz) Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable) Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti (985 MB) Storage 519 GB of 2.27 TB used (System SSD) + 2TB Spinning drive System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor No symptoms on my laptop which is configured roughly the same. I hope this helps others with the same issue.49Views0likes2CommentsWindows 11 LTSC - How many people here are using it?
I read this link, regarding the above, and tried it. Have to say so far, really impressed with the smoothness, and how the GUI feels snappy. I know it is a 90 day evaluation originally, can hopefully extend it 3x times more, for a years use, before re-install. I'm not a gamer, and don't keep many personal files on W11, just need Windows box for WFH/Citrix, Office, Teams, Zoom, Adobe PDF Reader maybe even Visual Studio code. No, running the above in a Windows VM in Linux, is not the same as Windows on bare metal, especially with web cam in Teams/Zoom/Webex.26Views0likes1CommentI'm pissed, how is the install experience this bad.
I switched to Linux, uninstalled Windows, and made sure to link my microsoft account to my install first. Pop!OS installed like a dream, no issues. I realize one of my devices has a windows only driver, so I reluctantly reinstall windows on a new SSD. Windows loads broken drivers for my Intel NIC and breaks. Google Gemini walks me through solving it by going back to my pop!os install and getting the drivers. Everything seems fine, but Windows won't activate on my account. Hitting "Troubleshoot" and following the troubleshooter results in the troubleshooter crashing, saying it can't find ANY previous devices, not the one I'm on, not my old one, just a blank spot in the page where the device would be printed normally. It says I need to click "Get Help." I do, I sign in, and get denied because I only have a "personal account." I'm left here staring a dead end of support. Oh and the entire time it's asking me "Why don't you click on the store and just buy a new license?" F*** You. It doesn't say, if you don't have a license click here. The wording clearly implies "It would be easier if you just paid us again." You feel like a scumbag mobile game. I go to microsoft's device page. And my install is there, on the website. The troubleshooter can't find it. I spend like 3 hours trying to force it to recognize my old install, give up and nuke the installation again. Gemini (who knows your stuff better than you do honestly.) suggests it was due to the installer not being online due to the nic issue. I have the drivers now, so I nuke the entire install, resintall from USB (Because your in place installer freezes during windows update, on a fully updated machine that just ran windows update.) I get through the installer, point it to my nic drivers, the install finishes. It finds my old device, THANK GOD. I go to sleep. I wake up, Windows is asking me to activate. Seriously, as soon as I replace the one device I have that needs a windows driver. You're gone.24Views0likes0CommentsMy hard drive is encrypted with Bit Locker and I can't unlock it. What should I do
I'm using an NVMe SSD on Windows 11, and I previously enabled Bit Locker for full disk encryption. But today, after booting up, I encountered the following situation: the system prompts "A recovery key is required to unlock the drive." The recovery key I found after logging into my Microsoft account is invalid. What could be causing this? I recently performed a Windows update and also upgraded the BIOS, so I'm unsure if that's related.77Views0likes3CommentsWhich WiFi card to get for Windows 11?
Hey, really basic question. I recently bought a Dell Precision 3460 i5-12500 and need to get a wifi card. Which one do I get? Are the ax210 and ax211 interchangeable on this model, or is there a better one than these I could get? I haven’t had much experience with anything other than Macs hence why I’m unsure. The computer hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t look at the slot either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!48Views0likes0CommentsSleep issues crashing my PC

Note: I can not replicate it, welcome any guidance to replicate it Settings/System/Storage/Storage Spaces, on Windows 11 (Home OR Pro), the wizard maybe fail if you do things in certain order, and the reason is, its volume requirement is complex and unknown.21Views0likes1Comment
