hello, I’m looking for help with my computer. Recently, I just moved across the country and I had to ship my computer. as soon as I booted it up after getting it there were green artifacts across my screen. My computer worked fine and i was able to play games despite that. Then my pc shut down i got the green artifacts once again but this time windows disabled my graphics card and i got error 43. there don’t seem to be any visible issues to the eye but perhaps internal. I did basically everything as far as my skill goes. For example, I tried to reinstall the drivers. I tried reseating the GPU. I checked the wiring. And I tried anything possible that I know of. I ended up trying to get help from my stepdad and after putting the computer on its side, it worked. But it stopped working again. I cannot tell if laying it down helped it at that moment or it was pure luck, but either way it stopped working once again. i’m a full time college student and i do my homework and gaming on that so i really need help. I was thinking that it was because of sagging in the GPU, but if that was the case, I feel as though my computer would be working while on its side as it was at first. So it seems there may be an issue i cannot pin point myself. I’m not very knowledgeable in this area. i have had this pc for 5 years and perfect condition until shipping. but it did work for days after getting it from shipping. my specs gpu : nvidia getorce rtx 3070 motherboard : b450 aorus pro wifi cpu : amd ryzen 5 5600 x 6-core processor22Views0likes0CommentsWindows Capability Access Manager issue
The Problem: My (C:) Drive storage (184 GB): So the past few months I was facing the storage almost being full issue with my (C:) drive (I usually try keeping 30 to 40 GB free on C drive) and started solving the issue with common methods like clearing disk temp files with Disk Cleanup, finding the huge software and transferring it to other free drives, clearing more temp with CMD and even reducing System Restore Points' allocated storage to 14 GB and all sorts of tips and tricks to free up space. Nothing worked so it was the time to do some deep research, i opened WizTree and tried finding hidden files and saw 2 issues - First the system restore point taking more space that given (Was using 20 GB, instead of given 14 GB only) But that's normal cause it clears up on its own when storage is near full and on other post people said its normal. - The Second issue - Windows Capability Access Manager issue, it's task is to manages app permissions for sensitive resources like the camera, microphone, and location, logging usage in a SQLite database and it's suppose to be few KB to few MB. So, it was clear that Capability Access Manager is one of the cause that is increasing (C:) drive storage. So if you are able to find out what's spamming requests, you will can solve this but on the other hand to figure out what's really causing this nearly impossible. Don't even know who made this its just makes no sense.35Views0likes0CommentsRIP 1070ti 11/2018 - 5/2026
Went from working fine one night to the next day one of the 2 monitors plugged in to the 1070ti wasn't working. Noticed display driver was using Microsoft basic render driver. No windows or other driver updates to roll back. Went through troubleshooting shooting, tried different slots, changed security settings. Completely reinstalling drivers. Repasted the card as a last resort to no avail. Tried my gaming rig too on game ready drivers vs studio drivers on streaming rig. Don't have many tech buddies to throw ideas at regarding my somewhat unique set up & use case.36Views0likes2CommentsThis is a good version of windows 11?
I installed this version of Windows 11 because my PC's components aren't very good, so I searched and found this version. Is it actually a good version? Freshly installed, it only had Microsoft Edge, since I don't need AI junk, news, or anything else Microsoft tries to shove in our faces. I like that it only has security updates and not things that might slow down my poor PC.63Views0likes0CommentsWindows 11 not loading Winre
I need Secure boot to run a game for my Windows 11 operating system. I cannot using any command or technique get to the advanced setting page to turn Secure Boot on. The only way I can access the advancing settings page is if I turn winre off using the command reagentc /disable. This allows me when I restart to access the advanced setting page, but it’s limited and I cannot change secure boot. When I turn winre on using reagentc /enable and restart my PC I just get a black screen. I have used SFC /scannow and my system is fine. Any ideas?15Views0likes0CommentsReinstalling windows 10 from Windows 11
So i already have a working pc i built myself with windows 10 on it. the only issue that I want to upgrade to Windows 11, but my specs dont meet the requirements according to microsoft. I think it must be my hard drive which i replaced with an ssd that i downloaded my games on. I was wondering if there was a way to reinstall Windows 10 on the ssd, so that I can upgrade to Windows 11. I saw one method where i can create a bootable drive of Windows 10 iso, then wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything on my ssd. Let me know if there is a better option I’m not very good with computers!21Views0likes1CommentKeyboard not working until I unplug&replug it after booting
So after booting, my keyboard lights don't turn on and no input is detected. The problem goes away after I unplug&replug the keyboard. This started happening a couple of days ago, and I have done nothing with the computer that would obviously cause such behaviour. No major installs, no huge updates, no changed settings. Ihad the same problem with Windows like two times before moving over a couple months ago, but now it happens after every startup. Any help is appreciated!24Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft finally admits almost all major Windows 11 core features are broken
A major new Windows 11 update has introduced widespread stability issues affecting core system functionality. Many users, including myself, are now experiencing frequent and disruptive problems like File Explorer crashes, slow performance, taskbar glitches, and Bluetooth failures, which together make the operating system frustratingly unreliable for daily use.58KViews6likes38CommentsHow do I completely uninstall microsoft edge in windows 11?
Hi, The Microsoft Edge browser has been consuming a lot of CPU and RAM on my Windows 11 computer lately, even when only a few tabs are open. It's starting to slow things down, especially during multitasking, and the built-in browser keeps running in the background. Tried removing it through windows 11 settings and control panel, but the uninstall option is greyed out for system app like edge. Is there a reliable way to completely uninstall microsoft edge browser from Windows 11, or at least stop it from running and using resources?10KViews0likes10Comments"Error selecting partition" when trying to reinstall Windows 11
I just bought a used gaming PC and installed a bigger SSD in the m.2 slot that I want to use as my main drive/Windows install location. I made a bootable USB drive and got this far. When I select the drive I want to use (specifically the "primary partition" - I didn't change any partitions), it gives me this message. I tried going into the BIOS settings and selecting this drive as Boot Option #1, but it didn't help. What am I doing wrong here? Don't know how much hardware info I can give but this is on an MSI board and a Ryzen 7 CPU.39Views0likes1Comment
