My windows inside preview can‘t update
Hello，my Windows inside preview version is 26300.8935，the current version is set to expire on August 11th this year, but despite my multiple attempts to update the system, I am unable to upgrade to version 26300.9032. Each update attempt results in the error code 0x8007001f. I have tried refreshing the cmd prompt and using troubleshooting, but neither method has resolved the issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? How did you resolve it? Thank you
[SOLVED] PC reboots instead of shutting down: Windows 11 update issue
I spent a long time chasing this one, so I'm posting the solution in case it helps someone else. Symptoms On shutdown, the PC does not power off — it reboots instead. You can't hear the shutdown sound and the power LED stays on and the machine restarts. No blue screen is visible (the crash happens late in shutdown, after the display driver has unloaded). The problem does not happen in Safe Mode — there it shuts down normally. A fresh Windows install shuts down fine at first, then the problem appears after a few hours or days. Reinstalling Windows does not fix it permanently, and cloning the install carries the problem with it. What it is NOT Not the RAM (Test passed 48/48, zero errors). Not a failing PSU or CPU (no component replacement needed). Not BIOS power settings (tried Power Supply Idle Control, disabling Global C-states, manual SoC voltage — no effect). Not "fast startup" or a wake-on-LAN setting. The actual cause The C:\Windows\Minidump folder contained several 0x124 (WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR) crash dumps, all created at shutdown. Analyzing one in WinDbg with !analyze -v showed the machine check firing here: nt!HalpPciReadMmConfigUlong ... amdkmpfd+0x745e The crash happens while amdkmpfd.sys (an AMD PCI filter driver) reads PCI configuration space during shutdown. On my system this old version of the driver triggers a fatal machine check. Windows labels 0x124 as a "memory" error, which is misleading — it's actually on the PCI/interconnect path, which is why MemTest passes and why Safe Mode (which doesn't load this driver) shuts down fine. The driver was installed automatically by Windows Update, not by me — which is why a clean install works until Update pushes it. The fix Find the driver's published name (run in an admin Command Prompt): pnputil /enum-drivers Look for the entry whose original name is amdkmpfd.inf and note its published name (mine was oem17.inf, AMD version http://20.50.0.0 dated 2020). Then remove it: pnputil /delete-driver oem17.inf /uninstall /force Reboot. Windows falls back to its own Microsoft PCI driver and the machine shuts down normally again. Important: because it came from Windows Update, it may be reinstalled automatically. Use Microsoft's "Show or hide updates" tool (wushowhide.diagcab) to hide the AMD driver update so it doesn't come back. If shutdown ever breaks again after an update, just repeat the pnputil steps. Do NOT just disable the service with sc config amdkmpfd start= disabled — it's a boot-start driver, and disabling it (without removing the filter registration) leaves Windows unable to find the boot disk, resulting in a 0xc0000001 boot failure. Use pnputil /delete-driver as above instead. When you press Alt + Left Arrow to return to the previous folder after navigating to a subfolder, the file list automatically scrolls to the top instead of remaining at the position you were previously viewing. You have to scroll back to your previous position every time you return, which reduces efficiency.press the F2 key to rename a file, the Select All status for the filename is automatically cleared.
After selecting a file and pressing F2 to enter rename mode, the filename should be selected in its entirety, but the cursor automatically positions itself after the file extension rather than at the beginning of the filename. You have to manually select the filename portion to edit it, which is inconvenient.

I am having the same issue, what will happen once the build expires? I have Windows 11 Pro insider Preview Evaluation copy Build 26300.8772.ge_prerelease_im.260626-2010 Under the Windows Insider Program window there is a selection to join the Windows Insider Program and a Get Started selectable icon. This above keeps happening I followed the instruction provided and the screen returned to this option.What is an enablement package?

I've been a Windows customer since the beginning. I was doing computing back on the TSR-80, when we still saved information on audio tape. However, with the changes in the last few versions of Windows; I feel I can on longer use a Windows product. I've been using a Windows 11 system for several months now, and I've hated every time I had to use it. With the increase in non-optional "optional" and non-removable features; I've decided that it's time to move onto a Linux based system. I have a Dell Desktop XPS 8930, 64 bits. I migrated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 Pro in January. I lost WiFi during that migration, but managed to recover it with Dell's help. my OS is now Windows 11 Pro, 25H2, build 26200.7628. Early February, I got the installation error 0x80070005 when trying to install KB5077181. The PC restarted 3 - 4 times, then displayed an error message similar to "the update didn't go well - do not worry - we are uninstalling the update", then restarted again 3 - 4 times and finally started. I understood that this update had issues and that I should wait for another version of such update. Yesterday, I shut my PC down WITHOUT choosing "shut down and install updates", but when opening it this morning, my PC started by trying to install KB5077181, with the same behavior as early February. Is there a way to properly install this update on my PC ? If not, should I wait for a future version of this update, and in that case, how can I force my PC not to install on its own the KB5077181 update ? Thanks a lot, in advance, for your help. After trying to update my pc the update installed and prompted a restart. I restarted the pc and while it was trying to finish the installation on startup I saw a message saying something like, "the update didn't go as planned", then rebooted. Since then every time I try to log in I get the following message: "Your session was logged off because DWM crashed. Please contact your administrator for further information and check the event log." Then it resets to the login screen again, so I am unable to login at all. I've tried practically every option in the "Windows Recovery Environment", command prompts, system repair, system reboot etc and nothing is working. Even though safe mode allows my to log in I still get the error message and am unable to do anything. Please can someone tell me what is the solution for this??
