Classroom components missing
After completing SDS sync (no errors), activating the class, waiting overnight we are still having these issues with our SDS classroom teams. Issues reported: Can not attach file to an assignment (says try again, all file types from all locations) Classroom notebooks can not be created (says Retry) Students do not see assignments Assignments disappearing from team Student work folders are not created after an assignment has been added Issue #1 Issue #2 Anyone else experiencing these issues? For this 2025/2026 school startup we are experiencing issues with SDS Classroom teams not finishing all of the provisioning required. My feeling is that SDS is taking longer to finish the backend functions that happen after creating the security group, team, then classroom layer. This is eventually working on some teams but the experience is not consistent. This is only happening with SDS Classroom teams, all classroom teams created manually are working as expected. We typically have ~ 5000 SDS classroom teams / year.15Views0likes0CommentsSkype not working anymore
Good day, we are a business (https://www.walkspanishmadrid.com/) and have a Skype number to contact our clients and receive calls from them; we also had skype credit and now it seems we cant use it on Skype or Microsoft teams any suggestions on how educational companies are dealing with situations like this? Thank you8Views0likes0CommentsClass Team calendar doesn't show in the class startpage
I used to love the startpage app in class teams, but since the spring of 2025, the calendar is not imported to show in the startpage under teaching schedule. If I add a calendar to each class, it doesn't show either. The teaching schedule says the group doesn't exist any longer, maybe it has been deleted (no it has not been deleted). All I seem to be able to. The only way is by is to make all classes to M365 groups, but that shouldn't be necessary, or is it? Sad to lose the generel calendar in class teams. Thanks for any help or advise.19Views0likes0Comments1000 Free Udemy Coupons on Microsoft Power Automate With AI Builder

So here's my question -- is there a way to set up a Form so that the principal will enter the email address of the teacher while they are filling out the Form (as one of the questions) and then a copy of all the responses will be sent to both the principal (filling out the Form) and the teacher (who's email is an answer in the Form).123Views0likes1CommentTurn in Assignments for Students
I would love to be able to select multiple students and Turn in the assignment for them! I like that I can do it individually, but often I need to help out multiple students in multiple classes. I know there's a learning curve to teach them to "turn it in on TEAMS when you are done" but so many don't and then they can't remember if they completed as assignment (if it is paper based). Pretty please add this feature!197Views3likes3CommentsGolden Path for Education - Part 1a
What is Golden Path Golden Path was developed to simplify and enhance the security of deploying a Microsoft 365 tenant solution in education. It consists of three stages: Stage 1: Deployment Guides are available online at Golden Path. This stage includes: Baseline - Stage 1a Standard - Stage 1b Advanced - Stage 1c Stage 2: A Discovery/Assessment AI tool is used to expose the tenant's configuration and analyze it against the tenant's license configurations, tenant and service settings, Microsoft's general education recommendations, and customer requirements. Stage 3: Drift Configuration management helps understand changes made against the established configuration in the tenant. These changes can be reversed or modified before any breaches or irregularities create problems. Goals and Objectives for Golden Path Goals Develop prescriptive deployment guides that provide a centralized resource with education-specific scenarios to assist organizations in defining, managing, and organizing their tenant and appropriate applications. Reduce the overall complexity of tenant and service deployment. Establish baseline recommended pathways to facilitate a common and agreed-upon configuration based on subject-matter experts. Utilize AI technology to uncover and compare recommended settings against user requirements based on documented configurations. Implement phased configurations to aid customers and partners in understanding what they may not know or should consider during discovery to meet customer expectations. Highlight unused features and products to ensure customers fully leverage the potential and benefits of their purchased product licenses. Identify opportunities for partner participation in achieving customer goals and expectations based on customer requirements and Golden Path findings. Create an easy pathway for customer change management to enhance control, security, compliance, and privacy of tenants. Develop custom assessments to evaluate product entry for items such as Copilot, Defender, Purview, Intune, Zero-Trust, and Microsoft Entra ID. Objectives Deliver information for features available (used/unused) to users based on license model. Prescriptive recommendations based on education scenarios. - Present upgrade license opportunities from A1 to A3 to A5. Security analysis exposing gaps and issues proactively to allow modifications before it's too late. Promote partner access to customers that have defined gaps based on assessments and are requesting partner assistance. Better discovery and assessment analysis with new tools. Designed to be more self-serving customer and partner access management. Speed up user adoption for educators and IT Admins alike. Baseline Stage 1a Baseline is stage 1a in the overall development of the Golden Path for Education. It is based on a majority of licenses within the tenant at the Microsoft 365 A1 for Education level. It also is a set of recommendations for ALL Microsoft Education tenants. Navigation Golden Path has three folders in the navigations. Golden Path Baseline References Golden Path folder consist of the Golden Path overall review. Part 3 – Deliver drift management solution for management of unrealized or understood changes that need to be approved or modified.737Views5likes1CommentAssignmentanswers in Teams can be read by everyone
It turns out that the Excel-file that is generated for me to view the results of a Forms-test, given as an assignment in Teams, is placed in the Teams-library where Teams-members are granted editing rights by default. This, not only makes it possible for every Team-member, my students, to see everyone's result, but also to edit the answers. I know it is possible to alter the rights given to this library, but I don't like the idea of instructing every teacher in our school to do this. This Excel-file should NOT be placed in this library, but rather in my personal OneDrive as it is if I don't use the assignement-tool in Teams. Is there a way someone in Microsoft can fix this? Please? Best regards Oddgeir110Views0likes0CommentsDownload the submitted files related to an assignment
Some teachers still wants to evaluate a printed document and not just the digital one. I know they can download submitted files from the sharepoint-repository, but then they have to go through so many folders. Is there a way to download say, all word-documents submitted on the assignment "Whatever the assignment they where given"? So browsing the folders by assignment instead of by student I guess. Does anyone know? Regards Oddgeir103Views0likes0Comments'Hide' assignments
Hi I am new to the MS Teams Classroom and really like the way it looks so far. I teach a group that is self paced and want to be able to give access to assignments to individual students once the have completed the learning materials, is this possible? I find that when the assignments are available my students tend to go straight there skipping the learning materials.199Views2likes0CommentsWe're moving to Microsoft Q&A!

Hello, we have several teachers who are distributing content to students and some of the class will have issues. This is happening across the district with various teachers. The teachers make the document part of the background, but when students click on it, it disappears or moves the cursor to the far bottom of the page, etc. This is happening enough where some teachers are using other resources other than Class Notebook. Anyone else seen this? I thought maybe an extension on the student Chromebooks or network connectivity during the sync? Any other ideas?151Views0likes0CommentsAn VM stuck in "creating"
Hello, After the outage issue this morning, one of the VMs in our labs has been stuck all day in the "Creating..." state. There is nothing I can do to affect it It is okay to delete that particular VM or reimage, but those options do not work for me. Any information would be appreciated.527Views0likes2CommentsCannot start VMs, template, or create a new lab
We are currently seeing an issue where we cannot start our VMs, we just see this message: "Virtual machine redeploy operation failed. Try redeploying the virtual machine. If the issue persists, consider reimaging it. For further assistance submit a support request." Redeploying does not make any difference, and we are reluctant to reimage as MS have acknowledged a bug whereby the SSD of the VM can shrink after a reimage: in any case we also cannot start our template. We cannot make a new lab: when we try we see the "gorilla holding a sign" indication that something has gone wrong on both the dashboard and template pages for that lab. Our lab plan is based in UK South. We are unable to create an alternative lab plan in another region as the portal says we are not allowed to due the retirement of ALS in 2027! Has anybody seen similar and has any suggestions?576Views1like3CommentsI cannot set the lab capacity when publishing the template.
Hello, A lab has been created before, and its capacity is zero currently. When I publish the lab, there is no option to set the virtual machine capacity, so there is no VM. When I send the invitation link to a user, it says all VMs are claimed.... . Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks.282Views0likes0Comments
