Classroom components missing
After completing SDS sync (no errors), activating the class, waiting overnight we are still having these issues with our SDS classroom teams. Issues reported: Can not attach file to an assignment (says try again, all file types from all locations) Classroom notebooks can not be created (says Retry) Students do not see assignments Assignments disappearing from team Student work folders are not created after an assignment has been added Issue #1 Issue #2 Anyone else experiencing these issues? For this 2025/2026 school startup we are experiencing issues with SDS Classroom teams not finishing all of the provisioning required. My feeling is that SDS is taking longer to finish the backend functions that happen after creating the security group, team, then classroom layer. This is eventually working on some teams but the experience is not consistent. This is only happening with SDS Classroom teams, all classroom teams created manually are working as expected. We typically have ~ 5000 SDS classroom teams / year.15Views0likes0CommentsSkype not working anymore
Good day, we are a business (https://www.walkspanishmadrid.com/) and have a Skype number to contact our clients and receive calls from them; we also had skype credit and now it seems we cant use it on Skype or Microsoft teams any suggestions on how educational companies are dealing with situations like this? Thank you8Views0likes0CommentsClass Team calendar doesn't show in the class startpage
I used to love the startpage app in class teams, but since the spring of 2025, the calendar is not imported to show in the startpage under teaching schedule. If I add a calendar to each class, it doesn't show either. The teaching schedule says the group doesn't exist any longer, maybe it has been deleted (no it has not been deleted). All I seem to be able to. The only way is by is to make all classes to M365 groups, but that shouldn't be necessary, or is it? Sad to lose the generel calendar in class teams. Thanks for any help or advise.19Views0likes0CommentsAssignmentanswers in Teams can be read by everyone
It turns out that the Excel-file that is generated for me to view the results of a Forms-test, given as an assignment in Teams, is placed in the Teams-library where Teams-members are granted editing rights by default. This, not only makes it possible for every Team-member, my students, to see everyone's result, but also to edit the answers. I know it is possible to alter the rights given to this library, but I don't like the idea of instructing every teacher in our school to do this. This Excel-file should NOT be placed in this library, but rather in my personal OneDrive as it is if I don't use the assignement-tool in Teams. Is there a way someone in Microsoft can fix this? Please? Best regards Oddgeir110Views0likes0CommentsDownload the submitted files related to an assignment
Some teachers still wants to evaluate a printed document and not just the digital one. I know they can download submitted files from the sharepoint-repository, but then they have to go through so many folders. Is there a way to download say, all word-documents submitted on the assignment "Whatever the assignment they where given"? So browsing the folders by assignment instead of by student I guess. Does anyone know? Regards Oddgeir103Views0likes0Comments'Hide' assignments
Hi I am new to the MS Teams Classroom and really like the way it looks so far. I teach a group that is self paced and want to be able to give access to assignments to individual students once the have completed the learning materials, is this possible? I find that when the assignments are available my students tend to go straight there skipping the learning materials.199Views2likes0CommentsWe're moving to Microsoft Q&A!

Hello, we have several teachers who are distributing content to students and some of the class will have issues. This is happening across the district with various teachers. The teachers make the document part of the background, but when students click on it, it disappears or moves the cursor to the far bottom of the page, etc. This is happening enough where some teachers are using other resources other than Class Notebook. Anyone else seen this? I thought maybe an extension on the student Chromebooks or network connectivity during the sync? Any other ideas?151Views0likes0CommentsI cannot set the lab capacity when publishing the template.
Hello, A lab has been created before, and its capacity is zero currently. When I publish the lab, there is no option to set the virtual machine capacity, so there is no VM. When I send the invitation link to a user, it says all VMs are claimed.... . Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks.282Views0likes0CommentsAZURE LAB USER SQL DB DELETE EACH TIME I REPUBLISH

Hi everyone! I'm Mohammed Elshahat Ismail, a 21-year-old from Egypt :egypt: with experience in various roles such as Microsoft Certified Trainer, https://gdsc.community.dev/u/mbvdbj/#/about, NASA Space Apps Local Lead and Founder in Damietta, https://studentambassadors.microsoft.com/en-US/studentambassadors/profile/eecd1e4b-b456-421f-aeb4-76fbe98ba39e, and Hult Prize Campus Director and Founder. Today, I'm excited to dive into the world of Azure Fundamentals and explore the fascinating architecture and services offered by Microsoft Azure. The Microsoft Azure Fundamentals training comprises three learning paths, and in this article, we will focus on the second path: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: Azure architecture and services. This learning path provides valuable insights into the architecture of Microsoft Azure and introduces some of the most commonly used services and resources within the platform. Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing platform, offers a vast range of services that enable organizations to build, deploy, and manage applications and services with ease. Understanding the underlying architecture and the various services available is essential for anyone looking to harness the power of Azure. Azure's architecture is built upon a global network of data centers managed by Microsoft. These data centers are strategically distributed worldwide, allowing users to deploy their applications and access their services with low latency and high availability. Azure's architecture follows a scalable and distributed model, ensuring resilience and redundancy across its infrastructure. Within Azure, resources are organized into regions, which are geographic areas containing multiple data centers. Each region is independent and comprises one or more availability zones. Availability zones are physically separate data centers within a region, providing fault tolerance and high availability. By deploying resources across availability zones, organizations can ensure their applications remain accessible even in the event of infrastructure failures. Now, let's explore some of the key services offered by Azure. Azure provides a comprehensive suite of services that cater to diverse business needs. These services can be categorized into compute, storage, networking, and databases. Compute services in Azure include virtual machines (VMs), which offer the flexibility to run various operating systems and applications in the cloud. Azure also provides container services for efficient application deployment and management, as well as serverless computing options that abstract away infrastructure management, allowing developers to focus solely on code execution. Azure's storage services offer scalable and secure storage solutions to meet different storage requirements. Azure Storage provides options such as Blob storage for unstructured data, File storage for file shares, and Queue and Table storage for messaging and NoSQL data storage, respectively. Additionally, Azure Disk Storage offers persistent and high-performance block storage for virtual machines. Networking services in Azure empower organizations to build secure and scalable architectures. Azure Virtual Network enables the creation of isolated networks and facilitates connectivity between resources. Azure Load Balancer and Azure Application Gateway distribute incoming network traffic to improve application performance and availability. Azure VPN Gateway allows secure connectivity between on-premises networks and Azure. Azure's database services cater to various data management needs. Azure SQL Database offers a fully managed, scalable, and secure relational database service. Azure Cosmos DB provides globally distributed, multi-model database capabilities. Azure also offers fully managed open-source database services for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB. Additionally, Azure Redis Cache enables high-performance caching, while Azure Synapse Analytics offers powerful analytics and data integration capabilities. In conclusion, understanding Azure architecture and the wide array of services it provides is crucial for anyone venturing into the realm of Microsoft Azure. The Azure Fundamentals: Azure architecture and services learning path offers a valuable opportunity to explore the core concepts, architecture, and commonly used services within Azure. With this knowledge, individuals can leverage Azure's capabilities effectively and embark on a journey of innovation and digital transformation. So, let's dive into the exciting world of Azure architecture and services together! Happy learning and exploring Azure Fundamentals! Sharing a MS Teams Class Notebook from the Team it was originally created and linked in to a second
I have had a request from a member of staff who has a Microsoft Teams 'class' site with a Class Notebook setup that her students used in the previous academic year) who now wants to share the same Classnote to a different Teams site (within the same university and school). From what I can see online this is not possible, I can connect to the same Class Notebook within the same Team site but in a different channel but not between two different Team sites. Is this right or am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.136Views1like0Comments
