Page color and do not block header
I know that in order to set a specific page with page color in word, I need to use a workaround where I draw a rectangle filled with color and then stretch to fill the entire page and set it to hide behind text. I did that but this page also has a header where it shows the name of company and then next row is just a long black rectangle. The black rectangle was set to "tight". but now I have a problem because "page color" rectangle does not block content in the page but it block the header (both text and black rectangle). I don't understand why it is blocking both the text and shape in the header. How can I fix this?Page cplor Blocking Header
Hi, I have a specific page in the document that needs to have a page color. I know the workaround for this is to create a shape filled with the color to cover the entire page but set it to hide behind text. I managed to do that. But the document has a header that look like below: first row of text: ABC Pte Ltd second row: black rectangle shape to look like separator (it is set to wrap as "tight") When the page shape was stretched the entire page, it did not block the page content but it block the header (both text and rectangle). How do I fix this so that the page color shape does not block the header?

Estoy usando Word Online (Office 365) y al abrir complementos como Mendeley Cite aparece el error: “Error del complemento. No pudimos conectarnos con el servidor de catálogo {0} para este documento.” En general, este error aparece en todos los complementos existentes, como si en mi cuenta los mismos no estuvieran habilitados. Ya probé: Cambiar de navegador (Edge, Firefox, Google). Limpiar datos de navegación. Reiniciar sesión y el computador. Permitir cookies y permitir permisos de los navegadores Hasta ahora no hay forma de que los complementos funcionen en Word Online. ¿Alguien sabe cómo resolverlo? El flujo concreto es: Entro a un documento en word online -> oprimo el botón de complementos -> se abre la lista de complementos -> elijo cualquier complemento y me aparece el error del titulo de esta discusión. Hace una semana si me funcionó en edge, ahora no hay formas.
Copy content of a locked file
I have a team of transcribers; I send them images, they send me back a locked WORD documents. I CAN unlock it, but prefer not to. But I need to COPY the content and past it into my own document. "Locking" should allow copying; it should only prevent changes. BUT - sometimes Ctrl-A Ctrl-C in theirs and Ctrl-V in mine does work. And sometimes it does not ! Q1: What am I doing wrong, and what am I doing right ? Q2: If I have to unlock it, how do I re-lock it ? Or does it stay locked if I don#t save it ?
Equation Editor Wrong Highlight Color In Dark Mode
The highlight color in the Equation Editor is not correct when using dark mode in Word. The white text is unreadable. I’m seeing posts mentioning this issue from 4 years ago. How has this not been patched? How do I fix this myself if Microsoft won't?Ruby text functionality/Publisher-like formatting
I use Publisher to create workbooks for students learning Japanese. Word is not a suitable replacement because it has ridiculous formatting issues. PowerPoint has better functionality because you can control placement of text and images and the pages are discrete. But there is no way to use Ruby text (phonetic guide) in PowerPoint. Can it be enabled in Powerpoint? I asked a support person and they told me to copy the sentence from Word to PowerPoint but that doesn't work. Alternatively, is there a way to make Word function like Publisher, so each page is a discrete entity and when I add something, it doesn't muck up the formatting on every other page or push things to another page?
Cannot turn off Copilot in MS Word for Windows as "Enable Copilot" is missing...
This is ridiculous. I have spent over 2 hours trying to turn off Copilot in MS Word O365 version. I am running MS Word in I I Windows 11 (updated) and running what I believe is the most current version. I have been able to go into Excel => Options and uncheck the "Enable Copilot". I do not see such a box in Powerpoint (thank God - I don't see it in the app at all) and have been able to turn it off on my Mac Office Apps. I have an O365 account. When I open Word in Windows and then select the Options I get what is displayed below. Do not see the enable coPilot option, but CoPilot is on. This is ridiculous. I have cleaned the registry and I have seen hacks on how to turn off coPilot by butchering the registry, which I refuse to do. I even removed the coPolite App. MS, I DO NOT WANT TO USE AI TO WRITE. How do I get rid of this? I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this. BryanMS Word and Excel Mail Merge Certificates (advanced)
I need to run a mail merge (using Word and Excel) for certificates where per Course each student has a unique number of competencies they have achieved, example code attached. I cant manipulate or add data to the excel content with additional columns. I need one certificate per student each with their related competency achievement(s). Has anyone else found a solution without having to use an add in? Ive seen a template where the creator used the "next if" rule and the "if" condition is if the student ID is equal to, but i cant recreate it.Embedded Excel sheet in Word Doc not showing all rows
I have a Word Doc with an embedded Excel sheet. After I add rows to the sheet, the Word Doc cuts off the new rows. I tried stretching it in the Word Doc, but that doesn't work, the Excel sheet just gets stretched. I've changed the print area and cleared the print area in the Excel file. I unhid all the rows as well. I've searched Google and here and I couldn't find an answer. Is the Word Doc or Excel sheet I'm working on corrupted? I've attached some screenshots.
Data Loss: automatic safety labels in a file opened from WhatsApp
Hi everyone! I made a huge mistake... I sent myself a word file from WhatsApp, I opened it (without saving it, dumb I know) and started working on that file. I didn't know that Word couldn't save the file due to safety labels, I mean there was no pop up, no Alert, nothing, I just continued pushing the button save and then when I closed the window there was no special alert, no message, so I thought it was all fine... My file disappeared, I couldn't find any .TMP to restore, it wasn't in the driver or somewhere else. I swear it was like writing with invisible ink! Of course I spent this night writing everything again, but I was wondering if there's a way to suggest adding a message to make the user aware of the label. I really don't know why there wasn't any message when I pushed X button even if the file wasn't really saved.
