Unable to download KB5077181
I have a Dell Desktop XPS 8930, 64 bits. I migrated from Windows 10 to Windows 11 Pro in January. I lost WiFi during that migration, but managed to recover it with Dell's help. my OS is now Windows 11 Pro, 25H2, build 26200.7628. Early February, I got the installation error 0x80070005 when trying to install KB5077181. The PC restarted 3 - 4 times, then displayed an error message similar to "the update didn't go well - do not worry - we are uninstalling the update", then restarted again 3 - 4 times and finally started. I understood that this update had issues and that I should wait for another version of such update. Yesterday, I shut my PC down WITHOUT choosing "shut down and install updates", but when opening it this morning, my PC started by trying to install KB5077181, with the same behavior as early February. Is there a way to properly install this update on my PC ? If not, should I wait for a future version of this update, and in that case, how can I force my PC not to install on its own the KB5077181 update ? Thanks a lot, in advance, for your help. I'm running into an issue running downloaded binaries in a Windows Sandbox. The error indicates that the Device Guard feature is protecting my system. How do I override this protection? Is there an interactive security control, or perhaps a registry variable, that applies? My research thus far has located a method for establishing Code Integrity Policies. Is this an aid to this problem? Thanks in advance.__John_L_Feb 23, 2026Copper Contributor12Views0likes0CommentsWindows 11 24H2/25H2 System Freeze After January 2026 Updates – Lenovo ThinkPad G2

Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well! I recently faced a frustrating situation where I accidentally deleted some important files from my Android device. I’ve tried a couple of Android data recovery apps directly on my phone, but they haven’t yielded the results I was hoping for. Now, I'm looking for a reliable Android data recovery software that I can use on my Windows PC to retrieve these lost files. Ideally, the program should be user-friendly and effective, with good reviews from other users. Additionally, I would appreciate any suggestions on software that supports various file types such as photos, videos, and documents. If anyone has had success in such a case or can share their experiences with different options, I would greatly appreciate it! I am having an issue enabling color printing on Windows 11 for my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer several times, installed the latest printer drivers for this model, and made sure that it was set up using a Standard TCP/IP Port instead of WSD. Here is what my computer is showing when I attempt to print: Ink cartridges installed have a sufficient amount of ink (I just installed two new ink cartridges). Any possible solutions would be much appreciated!AdaR3nFeb 22, 2026Copper Contributor41Views0likes3CommentsApp launch / browsing delay
Hi everyone Iam having a sub-second delay when opening anything, for example, Brave Browser and a similar hesitation when opening Discord or Youtube tabs. While it’s less than a second, it doesn’t feel right. Here is the weird history of this issue: Windows 11 23H2: After a fresh install, everything was lightning fast for about 3 days, then the delay suddenly started. Windows 11 24H2: I upgraded to 24H2, and it was fixed immediately. However, after only 1 day, the delay returned. Windows 11 25H2: I did an in-place upgrade to 25H2 today, but the issue is still there. Laptop Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-10875H. RAM: 16GB. BIOS/Drivers: All updated to the latest 2026 versions. I will post screenshots of my CPU and RAM usage (they are usually very low, around 3% CPU). Is this behavior normal for these specs, or is there something hidden causing this consistent hesitation? Any help would be appreciated.mazen4Feb 22, 2026Occasional Reader11Views0likes0CommentsMic not working on PC but works on laptop
I am on Windows 11 Pro (updated). I have a Bumble Bee II mic that I recently purchased. After receiving it I decided to see how voice effects would sound with this mic so I installed VoiceMod. I started playing around with it and the mic worked fine but then discovered that every voice is behind a pay wall, and I wasn't going to use it that much to justify purchasing the program. So I uninstalled it and that's when the problems started. The input from the mic stopped working completely. The mic lights up and it can control the gain input along with mute and unmute and the windows settings reflect this but it does not allow any sound to go through to windows from the mic. I then perused the help articles and went through the process of reinstalling VoiceMod then uninstalling it following their specific procedure but it didn't work. I then did the same exact thing again only this time I installed and uninstalled it via Revo Uninstaller, which found some left over things and I deleted them. But the mic still did not work. I discovered my old c920 webcam mic still works fine on my PC and the Bumble Bee II mic works fine on my laptop. I contacted both VoiceMod support and Turtle Beach support (with hopes they might know of a solution that could work). Turtle Beach came back and said there is nothing they can think of that can help. VoiceMod support had me go through several steps. First I ran DISM then SFC /SCANNOW and SFC found some errors then fixed them, but the mic still did not work. They then had me install reinstall some voicemod dependencies (MS Visual and a .net framework). Neither helped but it might be interesting to note that windows did install the MS visual but the .net framework install indicated it was already installed. They replied that they are not sure what it is and is more than likely not an issue with VoiceMod. I then went into Device Manager and clicked to view hidden items and discovered that there were 4 of each the Bumble Bee II mic and speaker (headphone jacks listed). So I uninstalled all of them, ran both DISM and SFC SCANNOW again, but that did not fix the issue. I did find an unused Audio Device in Software devices in Device Manager and I uninstalled it, but it seemingly had no effect. I have gone through the windows troubleshooter but it can't find the issue with the mic and I've reset sound devices and volumes for all apps via the Volume Mixer reset in windows. At this point I have no idea what to do to get this mic to work again on my PC. A few things to note: I have completely uninstalled Voicemod because I am not using it. I am only having issues getting the Bumble Bee II mic to work again on my main computer. The last time the Bumble Bee II mic worked on my main computer was before I uninstalled Voicemod, even reinstalling Voicemod does not get the mic to work again on my main computer. My other mic (with the C920 web cam) works fine on my main computer. The Bumble Bee II mic works on my laptop just fine. On my main computer, the Bumble Bee II mic shows up and it has power. I can adjust the gain of the mic via the controls on the mic and windows reflects the gain change in the volume indication for the system. The mic just does not record any sound nor does it show any sound coming through the system when I try to use it. The Bumble Bee II mic is not muted. I can mute and unmute it via the mic controls and it indicates the same in the system, but no sound either way. Again the Bumble Bee II mic works perfectly fine on my laptop and my C920 web cam mic works just fine on my main computer. The headphone jack on the mic works fine when I connect a headset to it but still no sound going to the computer. One last thing, after I had deleted the extra BumbleBee listings in Device manager under both "Audio inputs and outputs" and "Sound, video and game controllers" I was testing the mic with the headset installed to see if I could get it to work by adjusting the different variables via the mic knob and my system crashed. but there was no indication why it crashed. I am hoping someone here can help me with this.Solvedmadmaxneo1Feb 22, 2026Copper Contributor42Views0likes1CommentWindows 11, Start button menu, make it show all apps by default
I upgraded to Windows 11 this week and I don't like the new Start button menu. I don't want "pinned" apps. I want to see All Apps in a list like before. Why don't we get the option to choose how we want things to look? So frustrating. BarbaraBarblokiFeb 22, 2026Brass Contributor289KViews45likes153Comments
