Re: Planner broken, or unusable?
Planner had s been having issues the past month. First was the missing user profile pics about a month ago that has since been resolved, but with no official records or acknowledgement from Microsoft. The last few weeks, we've been experiencing lag when typing any comments into Planner tasks. Sometimes the lag made what a user typed appear after about 5 secs, but sometimes the whole task screen just freezes indefinitely. The lag appears one day, then disappear the next. It's back again today with one user, and there are no report of this problem in the Admin console. This problem occurs across all browsers on Windows 10 and 11, so we suspect it's a network issue over at Microsoft.1.3KViews3likes0CommentsRe: Suggested attachments in Planner
This feature makes no sense and has caused some confusion among our teams. The confusion comes about because the suggested attachments looks like actual attachments on first glance, leading to unnecessary questions and difficulty in understanding an assigned task. Why would a user be interested in seeing suggested attachments when he/she is the recipient of the assigned task? Is there a way to turn this section off in admin btw?5.4KViews5likes0CommentsRe: Threading multiple responses in chat
Yes. Chat is designed like WhatsApp -a single threaded conversation. The only thing you can do is Reply to a post which will copy and paste that post in a new post to reply to. If you're coming from Slack, then this is not what you're looking for.19KViews0likes0CommentsDelete or rename the General channel
I received a request from my colleagues this week to remove the General channel in teams. Is this possible now or in the future? (I know it's not possible in the past) Is there a work-around to remove this general channel? Can I delete it in SharePoint only?Solved45KViews1like1CommentSort Teams Alphabetically
While I've been enjoying the features ni Microsoft Teams, one feature seems quite obviously missing when you start having a lot of teams... sorting the teams alphabetically. I did make a search in this forum and found a post from 2022 which ended with UserVoice being cancelled... So is there a way to sort teams by alphabets, or is there a way to filter the list showing all teams starting with... let's say 'S' for example?4.8KViews3likes1CommentRe: When a team is created the owner is not a member
So I realise I can't add a planner to a team even when I'm a owner. On further investigation, I realise it's because when you add someone as an owner in Microsoft Teams admin center, they are not added as a member too (or have member's rights) This is not very well documented at all... And then I find this thread talking about about this very issue here from Dec 2020. That's slightly over a year ago and no response from a Microsoft Rep?5.7KViews0likes0CommentsHow to see Team channels other than General when using the Filter to locate a team?
While using the Team Apps, I noticed that when you use the filter to locate a Team, you will only be able to see the General channel and not all the other non-hidden channels as expected. Clicking on the Team in the returned list of Teams also does not bring me into the context of the Team while the filter is still on. I have to clear the filter at this point by clicking the X, and then I'll be brought into the context of the Teams and all the other channels appear. This assumes that the Team is not in the Hidden Teams list. If the Team is in the Hidden teams list, nothing will appear as the team is hidden. You have to unhide the Hidden Teams before the Team and its context appear. This design or a lack of it is so unintuitive...3KViews1like2CommentsI cannot find the Comments feature in my Lists
According to Microsoft's documentation, there is someting call Comments in Lists ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-and-reply-to-comments-in-list-items-9407aab9-6d43-4756-af72-d38177814a6e ) This is new to me as I've never seen this feature in my SharePoint online. Is this a on-premise feature only? I've looked in the List Setting and have found a setting for Comments to be on (and it is), but how can I see or use it? My toolbar above the list look like this now:Solved1.8KViews0likes1CommentRe: Teams' list - Issue Tracker not accepting today's date
Petri-XI just encountered this problem today too. So it's still not fixed... An easy solution, as a few have suggested, is to go into the Column Settings > Edit > More Options > Column Validation and changed the formula from =DateReported<=TODAY(). <- wrong to =DateReported<=TODAY()+1 <- not accurate, but good enough for "Please add a date that isn't greater than today."4.4KViews0likes0Comments
