Custom view sharepoint

I am not finding anything specific on this so thought I would ask.  

I need to create a view based on a name in a column on a list.  If User "David M" is logged in, I want him to only be able to see all items with his name in the column "Manager".  Since he is not necessary the create by person, I can not figure out how to target this.

Is this possible?

@Will_Y1870 as far as I am aware this is not possible.
