Hi @john john - You cannot change the OST file location on the existing Outlook profile. You will need to create a new Outlook profile and then configure the OST file path location as required. This should help: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/troubleshoot/data-files/cannot-change-the-location-of-ost-...

i were able to do so by modifying the registry key

DEFINITELY YOU CAN CHANGE THE OST DATA PATH: FOLLOW STEPS

FIRST OF ALL CREATE A BACKUP OF REGISTERY BY FOLLOWING STEPS CAREFULLY! IF YOU ARE NOT TECHIE THEN ASK SOMONE WHO CAN CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE STEPS I AM PROVIDING YOU.

In accordance with your instructions, I successfully changed the location to the.ost data file using the registry on my Outlook 365 client. Please take these methods to determine if it differs from your operation:

  1. Click Start, Run, enter regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Go to the and Choose the registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook;
  3. After correctly using 2nd point
  4. Expandable String Value can be found by selecting New from the context menu of Outlook;
  5. Enter after typing ForcePSTPath;
  6. Right-click ForcePSTPath and choose Modify from the menu.
  7. Type the whole path to the location where you wish to save the.ost file in the Value data box.
  8. (such as E:\ABCXYZOST), and then select OK;
  9. Now hit on Exit Registry Editor
  10. Now go to ‘Control Panel’ then – Mail then – ‘Show Profiles’ the – ‘Add’ then - type a name for the ‘new profile’ then – ‘Select/choose Manual setup or additional server types and configure your IMAP account.
  11. Go back to the Mail box and select Ask to use a profile;
  12. Launch Outlook, then select the new profile.

NOTE:

It should be mentioned that if you accidentally edit the registry, bad things might happen. Before operating, kindly create a backup of the registry.)
