I am an independent advisor answering questions about New Outlook.
New Outlook is in the beta stage. The Mail/Calendar users have until the end of 2024. For Microsoft 365 subscribers, a date has not been set. Microsoft adds enhanced and new features regularly. Several others have expressed the same sentiment as you.
I recommend providing Microsoft feedback in two locations.
1) You can vote for this feature in the Feedback Hub.
2) While in New Outlook, select Help | Feedback from the Ribbon.
