What is the difference between the two archive folders shown below?

Why do I have two?

Hi @JacobDF

I am an Independent advisor answering questions about Outlook.

The first Archive in the image is the default archive folder in Outlook.

The second folder called Archives can either be a separate folder called Archives or the In-Place Archives for separate storage. What shows in the drop down menu of the Archives? Are you using the Classic Outlook?

If you find this information helpful, please mark it as best response which will assist others with the same question.

Yes, classic outlook not the “new outlook”.

What are In-Place Archives?

In-Place Archiving is a messaging method to eliminate and manage mailboxes. With in-place archives you can move older emails to archive to save storage.

Also, what shows in the drop down of the Archives, you can send a screenshot with blurring sensitive information.
