I am a Global Admin and and Teams Admin and I go to the Teams Admin Center and App Setup Policies and Global (Org-Wide Default)
https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/app-setup/ and I have the custom app I created years ago for Viva Connections displayed in Installed Apps and Pinned Apps. It shows as ONE! When I look at my Teams (I just checked to do an update the updated in NON "new") You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.6.00.33567 (64-bit). It was last updated on 1/3/2024.
I didn't touch anything (except today) to move App from 1 to 2, save, then 2 to 1, save. To see what might be going on that it is NOT pinned to the TOP!
I have cleared the cache and still it appears as if it is in the MIDDLE.
I even tried in the teams.microsoft.com web browser to verify that the cache was not causing issues and it too was having "issues" not being PINNED to spot #1.
Anything I could be doing or need to do? I haven't changed the position in YEARS!
I did update the app though yesterday (I can't say if the position was down, I think it was not pinned to the top) yet it was the same app, just updated it.
In Manage Apps - https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/manage-apps I did upload a new version from 1.0 to 2.0 and that was it, we changed some graphics (color) and the title of the app, yet the app is the same, just some text changed in the JSON manifest - like the spelling error (for example) in the name.
