Approaches for recreate an better Forms for Fire Safety and Work one Inspection

Hello Community, 

Were trying to create a new approach for our Fire Safety and Worker one inspection with the help from an zebra scanning handheld. And the priority is on use with ease.

So as i get an feedback back from an prev. Question that forms has no feature to repopulate fields. But 

So,we have to try another approaches so some of them are:

• populate some Fields with Scanning an Barcode.
• automatic forwarder when i had scanned a value to the next page
• possibility to create an dataset before i've answered all questions ( complete the forms before the last page)
  
  

Is this possible with Forms or may with an other app within the Microsoft universe  ? or may an third party one

@johnm340 this isn't possible with Forms but if all your users are within your organisation then this is all do-able in Power Apps which should be included as one of your M365 apps. It has a barcode scanner control and you can create several screens and add the logic you need for navigating between them and patching a record to SharePoint or another datasource. Your users would then be able to complete the inspection on their smartphone or tablet.
