Office 365 Licensing Sync

Deleted
Not applicable

Hi

We use Offfice 365 Sync groups in AD and Azure AD Connect to sync with Office 365. The information includes their licenses (E3 and K1). Recently, users across the whole site get their licenses taken away from them and we have to run a manual sync. They cannot access email through Office 365 online or Outlook. None of their apps appear.

We got an error yesterday saying that the internet connection speed between us and Azure was slow so there were some Sync errors.

Could there be a reason for this? We haven't noticed any internet performance issues

You are not being very clear in the description, but I assume you mean that you are running some sort of PowerShell script to manage the O365 user's licenses based on their on-premises attributes, right? If so, depending on how the script is run, the issue you have run into might be a result of connectivity issues/broken session. Best thing to do is to check the audit logs in Azure AD, especially the ones related to the Set License Properties operation:  https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Search-the-audit-log-in-the-Office-365-Security-Compliance-...

And/Or the log generated by the script, if any.
