I am looking for more information on the exact criteria needed for the new Microsoft Editor to appear in the ribbon in Microsoft Word on our Office 365 installations.
We run a mixed Office 365 environment on our endpoints, with version 2102 running on Windows 10, and 2002 on Windows 7 (shortly to be finally retired...). Both are using the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel, a decision taken given the nature of our business.
While I appreciate that version 2002 will never receive the Microsoft Editor functionality, I can't seem to find clear and definitive information (i.e. that I can present to non-technical managers) as to why our version 2102 instances have not got it, or whether they are going to. We are running the latest update version of 2102, released on December 16th 2021, and have E3 subscriptions for our users.
