HLS Show Me How.png  “SharePoint spaces is a web-based, immersive platform, which lets you create and share, secure and extensible mixed reality experiences.” – SharePoint Spaces. SharePoint Spaces provides a rich, immersive, experience opportunity for users whether examining pharmaceutical molecules, medical 3D views, or even 360’ video and pictures. With SharePoint underlying every Microsoft Teams instance this means these same great capabilities are now also a potential part of a Microsoft Team. This type of innovative advancement is just another example of why the Microsoft 365 platform with Microsoft Teams offers the best platform for creating that single pane of glass to get work done.

In the “HLS Show Me How” I demonstrate how to enable the SharePoint Spaces in a SharePoint site, how to quickly build it out, and how to leverage it directly from within Microsoft Teams.

Great demo. Very easy to set up.  Would like the ability to add a link to a web page.  My challenge was the GPU usage on my laptop (Lenovo Think Pad, i7 1.5 years old, typical business laptop).  I used the new Chromium Edge browser.  GPU was at 88-93%.  I tried to demo my page to my Team this morning on TEAMS and my mouse started to drag.  I'd love to use this page to replace our home page, but the drag would make me lose the support of my end users.

@Deb_W  Hi! First off thanks and glad to see you found it easy to set up. First on the web page. Easy peasy. Just add a graphical element (picture) and then for the action use url link. It will fire off browser web link in separate browser tab. On the performance. Keep in mind this is just released Preview. However they are working daily on backend improvements, caching, etc to improve performance. On replacing home page...... That I would not personally recommend. While it is transformative in providing rich immersive experiences I would say for now still early on in this type of experience where you still want to leverage SharePoint Online as Intranet but with addition of Spaces to provide specific experiences.

Much more coming along this front with Spaces but nothing I can say as of now except welcome aboard and you aint seen nothing yet ;)
