Unmerge cells
I am trying to find merged cells in order to un-merge all. Followed the directions provided through Help several time and each time a message pops up saying the information can't be found. The instructions in Help do not match what appears on my screen as I move through the steps indicated.

pamstewart-travelcom Can't you just click the box in the top left-hand corner of the grid? The one above 1 and left of A.
And then Unmerge Cells
I click that it doesn't give me the drop down... Also it was originally a word dock and I can't get cells unmerged to data sort columns to alpha sort
TNTommie Would need to see an example of a Word doc and the XLSX file after copying. Otherwise, it's just guess work.
Created a table in Word with irregularly shaped cells. Copied/Pasted to Excel and I get a table with some merged cells that can be unmerged as described above. Other than that, ugly borders that Word created remain in place and the cell widths have changed.
