Protect workbook

Copper Contributor
Hi all,

I have just completed some work in excel and protected the worksheet. The protection levels allow me edit specific cells and not edit others ( this is exactly what I want). The problem is when I sent the excel doc to colleagues/friends the doc no longer has the protection.

The problem is with out the protection people can add info to the wrong tab or break the formulas.

How do I make sure that once I have locked the sheet or workbook that it will stay locked when I sent it to someone else?

Did you password protect the protection? If so, and if you didn't share the password, it's surprising others were able to get through and "break" things.
