Power Query in Excel

Hi!

 

I am working on a file which has got a huge list of students with their choice of subjects due to appear for their exams on a certain date & time. Now, not all students are going to appear for all the subjects. I have to filter out subject & date specific student details to merge it with my google response which I will have to create data card for, also. I have been able to group the student details on the basis of date & time which will help me at least to divide the data into multiple sheets but would like to know how can I automate the change of index number to ungroup & fetch the data or if I reference the data and create a new query, then how can I skip changing the source so that when I put a new index number, the data in my referenced file doesn't change?
