Ordering Fractions

Hello All, 

I have a sorting issue I have been trying to work out and I could use a little assistance.

I have  Fractions of measurements, starting at 1/32" going to 1". For some reason when I tried to sort them, they did not go from least to greatest, or smallest to largest.

Looking through the internet, I could sit down with a piece of paper and a pencil, take all the fractions and find the lowest common denominator and all to then put things in place, but I thought I'd be able to accomplish this in excel. 

Here is an example of how it did sort:

1/16, 1/2, 1/32, 1/4, 1/8, 11/16, 13/16, 13/32.

So my question is, is there a way to sort (Order) fractions from smallest to largest, or least to greatest?

I guess you keep fractions as texts, thus they are sorted in alphabetical order as texts.

If you apply custom number format to cell(s) as Fraction and enter fractions here (just type 13/16, Enter) they will be kept as numbers and sorted as numbers
