I have a macro enabled spreadsheet which I use for work. I have a couple files (a Word file and .dwg AutoCAD file) embedded into the Excel file, and I modify all the files regularly. Every so often, changes I make in the embedded files (the .dwg file more often than not) are not preserved when I save the embedded file and subsequently the Excel file. This is incredibly frustrating as it is totally unpredictable when changes are lost. I will save the files, close the files, and when I reopen the files, sometimes the changes I made are retained while other times they are not.
Why is this happening, and how do I ensure that my changes are saved?
