Hi,
I’m looking for ways of grouping excel data.
So at the moment I have this data:
ID | Field1 | Field2 | Field3 | Field4 |
NR001 | Fixed Text | 001-Text | DR001 | some text |
NR002 | Fixed Text | 002-Text | DR002 | some text |
NR002 | Fixed Text | 002-Text | DR003 | some text |
NR002 | Fixed Text | 002-Text | DR004 | some text |
NR003 | Fixed Text | 003-Text | DR005 | some text |
NR004 | Fixed Text | 004-Text | DR006 | some text |
NR005 | Fixed Text | 005-Text | DR007 | some text |
NR005 | Fixed Text | 005-Text | DR008 | some text |
NR005 | Fixed Text | 005-Text | DR009 | some text |
I would like a means to change it into this format
ID | Field1 | Field2 | Field3 | Field4 |
NR001 | Fixed Text | 001-Text
DR001 | some text | |||
NR002 | Fixed Text | 002-Text
DR002 | some text | |||
DR003 | some text | |||
DR004 | some text | |||
NR003 | Fixed Text | 003-Text
DR005 | some text | |||
NR004 | Fixed Text | 004-Text
DR006 | some text | |||
NR005 | Fixed Text | 005-Text
DR007 | some text | |||
DR008 | some text | |||
DR009 | some text |
This data is only indicative; the real data has few more columns and consist of thousands of records. The number of sub items varies and is no consistent.
Any pointers appreciated.
