Change color in Cell

I would like to do a following formula.

IF (Value A1>2000,COLOR CELL=RED, GREEN).

I do not want to use the conditional format caused the cell A1 can change.

you can do with the help of helper cells by using =INDIRECT in define name  & Paste link image which transparency 90%

If not a secret, what's the reason for not using conditional formatting?
