Problem Most of our users have multiple displays connected, but prefer to use the AVD session on a single screen. This enables them to run tasks easily on their local and remote desktop. In order to achieve a user needs to: 1) Right click on the connection icon published by the AVD service, and select Settings. The 'Settings' context menu pops up on the left side of the cursor (in most Windows apps it is on the right side). Especially combined with black mode, the button is not easily perceptible by the user. See screenshot attached. Most users glance over this and try to find this setting in the very visible app-wide Settings button at the top right of the AVD client. There these kinds of options are not available. and 2) Switch off default settings in the opened panel in the application. and 3) Finally, select to use a single screen. and 4) If new apps are published for the environment, or an RDP application update is installed, redo all of this again to get to the same result. This is not an obvious workflow for a user, and it is frustrating to lose the settings every so often. Solution - Ideal solution: if the app refreshes the connection or is updated, the settings the user performed on already installed objects should be maintained. The placement of context menu and settings should be more ergonomic. - Alternative solution: allow a client-wide setting in Settings menu of the AVD client to enable a default 'Single display' connection mode.
