I'd like to improve user profile performance with FSLogix on Azure by optionally moving the C:\Users\local_%username% folder (used for redirections.xml) to the temp 😧 drive on Azure VMs with a temp disk. e.g. D:\Users\local_%username%   I'm not referring to the C:\Users\%username% but the C:\Users\local_%username% folders. Currently this isn't configurable but it's referenced at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FSLogix\Profiles\Sessions\[SID]\LocalProfilePath     This would offload IOPs from the OS disk and also make some user profile operations much faster, e.g. Teams cache could be redirected and offloaded to speed up Teams. The temp disk is generally much more performant than Azure Premium disks.   It also sorts the issue of those local_%username% folders not getting cleaned up after an unexpected reboot/crash. If they're on the temp disk they'll get wiped out after a reprovision instead of having to script the cleanup.   Cloud Cache paths can be customised to use the 😧 drive but it would be nice to move the redirections to that too.   Regards, David ... Add ability to set Outlook cache to a specific number of days if the profile fails to attach. Currently, FSLogix can set Outlook to online mode if the VHDx container fails to attach to the session.   A new registry key to allow FSLogix set the sync period in Outlook and keep Outlook in cached mode.   Right now we use the “Set Outlook cached mode on successful attach” but this is a simple on/off and in some of our sites Outlook is too slow when running in online only mode, it would be nice to be able to set the cache to 30/60/90 days or whatever on successful attach but leave the fallback position to be something like 3 days. ... The ability to exclude specific files/directories from ODFC containers like we can with Profile containers.  We’ve discovered some pretty severe bloat occurring (specifically the issue with %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\Cache Storage) and the ability to exclude that from the ODFC container would save a huge amount of disk space when multiplied by our thousands of users. ... Hi,   At this moment B2B isn't supported for Azure Virtual Desktop: The user must be sourced from the same Active Directory that's connected to Azure AD. Azure Virtual Desktop does not support B2B or MSA accounts. The UPN you use to subscribe to Azure Virtual Desktop must exist in the Active Directory domain the VM is joined to.   It would be nice to create a B2B feature, so our end users can use AVD resources from our third party suppliers (DaaS/SaaS suppliers). This way will increase the user experience.   I think B2B is the future, it's already present in other Azure resources like Teams, Office 365, OneDrive, Sharepoint etc.   Discuss this already with Pedro Magrico. ...   Hi Microsoft Team, Our MacOS users have reported feedback that the MacOS client for Microsoft Remote Desktop is missing Disconnect options which are present on the Windows client. Feature Request:- We would like to submit feature request to allow users to Disconnect single session of their choice or Disconnect all sessions for example if it's the end of their business day. On MacOS app, Disconnect option missing for each connected session when connected using Workspaces. Currently we are seeing “Connect” on right click of an icon even when we are already connected, instead It should show the Disconnect option so use can Disconnect. This is available on the MacOS PCs section, but not on Workspaces. On MacOS app, Disconnect All Active Sessions feature is available on the Windows client but missing on MacOS. If user is when connected using Workspaces and working with multiple sessions and toggling between them, they should be allowed to Disconnect all sessions at once. The above features will help us clear sessions on our Applications when not in use otherwise sessions will be dangling around even when users are not using. Dangling sessions will cause us impact in terms of cost, scale, number of connected sessions. When the RW.vhdx is corrupt, the user ends up with an read only profile. Manual intervention is required to remove the RW file which can't be merged into the base profile to restore R/W access to the profile. The following error is logged in the event viewer: "Open vDisk Failed, file:<path to RW.vhdx> (The chain of virtual hard disks is corrupted)  There is a mismatch in the identifiers of the parent virtual hard disk and differencing disk."   Feature Request: Automatically remove a corrupt RW file when detected. As it can't be recovered anyway, deleting the corrupt file will at least restore functionality (R/W access to profile).   ... View more

Back in 2018 Microsoft announced that OneDrive in combination with UDP in exclude mode didn't work (Using Microsoft UPD disks currently requires use of the UPD 'include' mode configuration not the 'exclude' mode configuration. UPD exclude mode isn't supported currently as it doesn't work correctly (November 15, 2018) https://docs.microsoft.com/da-dk/fslogix/configure-office-container-tutorial  )    We would like this problem addressed, as OneDrive is wanted by our customers in their RDS environments, but are being deselected in favor of DropBox and other solutions. Hello devs! I love the work you're doing with the Windows app. I have one small issue that would be nice to have. I log on the remote PC with a saved user credentials without (blank) password, and every time I want to connect to the PC the popup show's up, then I have to click continue''. With other PC's and password protected users saved credentials work as expected. I understand / assume that the behaviour is if you didn't set a password for the user, ask for it everytime, but blank password user are a thing, specially in safe closed environments. perhaps a flag could be saved after logging the first time with this user without password to not re-prompt in the future. Hello, For the Azure Desktop Remote Desktop application on an iPad, I can’t locate the ability to “refresh” anywhere. It’s available for PCs and even on my MacBook Pro. Only way I’ve found to “refresh” is to literally delete the application and reinstall the application. We need the “Refresh” option as one’s profiles change over time. For example, I need to do a “Refresh” as the company is moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11 in the Remote Desktop environment. The AVD profile does not keep data or files saved to the desktop or anywhere in the file system unless you keep your login active and do not let it go over 30 days.
