I was trying to create a tool that would allow me to filter the necessary information from all the PCs I need to work on using a USB stick. I came across an old file that I edited and added additional information to the code. I'd like to share this file (Help for self-help). Excel 365: dd-mmm-yyyy now gives Sept instead of Sep — that breaks the documented format standard. Who thought this was a good idea? They linked it to the Unicode locale standard. But it violates the formatting of "mmm". Work arounds for USA locale format as [$-409]dd-mmm-yyyy → 05-Sep-2025 UK locale [$-809]dd-mmm-yyyy → 05-Sep-2025 AU [$-C09]dd-mmm-yyyy → 05-Sep-2025 NZ [$-1409]dd-mmm-yyyy → 05-Sep-2025 Problem is this is not portable. PLease can someone reach out to the devs and get this reverted? Formulas trying to pick out Sep & year from the string now will break.
Form does not exist
I recently printed some leaflets with the QR code and URL to my forms and had 40+ responses. I had made some minor changes to the form and the outcome of the blue when you scan the form you get an error message that read "the form does now exist".... The thing is ,it does exist. It's not in the deleted bin it's active, it's just upon further exploration I can see the QR code and URL has changed. I have been using the tick box that says make URL shorter...could it be that? Page numbering isn't working
Hi, I am trying to set numbers on the pages but it's not working properly. For example, it starts from the first page as 1, then the second page takes the number 2, then the third page takes the number 1, the forth page takes the number 2, the fifth the number 1 adn it repeats itself. The way I tried to numbering the pages was: Insert -> Page number -> Bottom page Insert -> Footer -> Page number -> Bottom page But the result is the same. Also, I tried to remove all the footers and page numbers by selecting remove footers and page numbers and then re-adding the page numbers but again, the same issue. When I use the bar on the right to scroll up or down, it shows the Page number. But when I am at page 12 (out of the 13) for example, it says Page 3. An example of what I mean: Any idea why that might be? I cannot share the document because it is a paper to be published. Hi, I've been running 365 and have been using word with out a problem for quite a long time. recently however I've noticed copy and paste simply doesn't work! I can not click say inside a document and then move the cursor forward to highlight say a few lines and then right click to copy let a one paste! What happens is if I right click and hold and attempt to move the cursor it simply does nothign and instead a small tool panel opens up offering the choice of colour, changing to italic, bold etc and then a dialogue box opens saying, 'Start a conversation'!! Its immensely frustrating, I've tried all manner of things to correct this including uninstalling and reinsalling word. The same thing happens to all my word docs which makes me think it must be a setting but I can't see what! I've played around with the review tab, editing tab etc and nothing seems to work. At wits end here, any ideas please do put them forward and thanks for your help. Paula

I just downloaded excel checkbook 2023 and am setting up my register. Originally I had the option to delete row in the edit drop down menu, but then after deleting a column I now only have the option to delete columns. Hello, I wonder if anyone here can help me. I have created an inventory tracking file in excel but I have encountered a difficulty that I cannot seem to find an answer for. I have sequenced each incoming shipment but I am unable to sequence or match or track outgoing shipments automatically based on specific conditions: I need to assign #1 to outgoing shipments until outgoing piece count of 25 is reached, then #2 until 20 is reached and so on When incoming and outgoing piece count net out to 0, I need the status to be "Closed", when we've started pulling from but not emptied out yet, "In progress", and when untouched "Open" I would like outgoing to be link to earliest, not closed, incoming shipment. Hi, I am trying to do exam analysis and need to copy data from Excel (see image) into my home-made analysis sheet on Numbers mac (see image). The trouble is the exam board data is in a long format data sheet while my numbers table is in a wide format. I have tried copy/paste special/transposing but all that does is run all the candidate names horizontally along with the data horizontally (see image). What I am looking to try and do is have the candidate names go down in a column and have the data from each question run horizontally across from their name. How can I do that? Any help would be immensely appreciated - I have been at this for 2 hours now and am sure I could have just single-copied all the data by this point!!!
Having trouble with IF formula
Hello, I'm not sure what's going on with my formula, but it is supposed to double the "Grip" when a checkbox is checked. All the numbers being pulled from tables are correct and when not checked the "Grip" adds up correctly. When doubled, it is also adding the "Wall Thk." number an extra time. Correct single Grip = 1.625" Correct double Grip = 3.25" I get 3.5" for double grip. Formula used below, as well as pictures. Excel Web- Lost Power Query Button
Last week, I had a Power Query button in Excel web. It worked great. I created my Query and such. I connected to the Dataverse. Today, I open Excel Web and the button is missing in the Data tab. Not only that, but my PQ table crashes every time I try to update it. I am not sure what is happening, but I need this functionality back. PS. Excel desktop (macos) is missing the dataverse option too and opening the same file in desktop, tells me that OAuth is not working or something, when I try to update the table. I am lost...
