Fixing OneNote MissPlaced Sections
Hi, I have encountered several instances if of Microsoft Teams Class Notebook placing pages into miss placed sections. I understand these are caused usually due to synchronisation problems. However how do I resolve them?

Take this:
- Locate the Misplaced Sections
- In OneNote, scroll to the bottom of your notebook list.
- Click on “Misplaced Sections”
- Manually Move the Pages
- Right-click the tab of the misplaced section.
- Select “Move or Copy”.
- Choose the correct notebook and section where the page should go.
- Force a Manual Sync
- Press Shift + F9 to trigger a manual sync.
- This can help OneNote re-attempt syncing and sometimes resolve the issue automatically.
- Check Section Names
- Make sure the section name in your notebook exactly matches the one in the student notebooks.
- Use the Web Version for Distribution
- When distributing pages, try using the OneNote Class Notebook web interface.
- Restart and Reconnect
- Restart OneNote and Microsoft Teams.
- Log out and back in to refresh your credentials and sync status.
- Check for Backups
Go to File > Info > Open Backups to recover older versions of your notes if needed.

Ok thanks for the reply, however, I fear the problem is deeper. When I tried to 'move' the pages in the Miss Placed Sections, the option to move is ghosted and on the top bar of the OneNote screen says 'Read Only'.
This issues has coincided with at least two notebooks exhibiting the same problem, Missplaced Sections and Sections / Folders getting renamed by OneNote automatically adding a 2 at the end of the name. When you try to rename or delete the folders they just reappear again.
These OneNotes are Teams Class Notebooks, with several users.
