Windows 11 Runas

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

I've recently installed Windows 11 but as I've started to configure the machine - it seems that 'runas' is missing when I try to run MMC or the local security policy editor as an admin from a user account.  Am I missing something?  I can log in to local administrator accounts to make the necessary changes, but I would much prefer to open an elevated privilege instance of these tools.

Hi @JamPlo,

Right-click on desktop to create shortcut and type compmgmt.msc click Next and Finish. Right click on newly created shortcut, Properties, and then Advanced, and check the option Run as administrator. Once you have done, you will be able to launch Computer Management Console in elevated mode.
