WSL2 loading a library suddenly causes a "wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64" error

Copper Contributor

Hi,

we have a product that uses another 32bit application. I really waited for WSL2 to be able to run it. around 2 weeks ago I finally got the windows update and straight away went to convert my wsl machine to wsl2 and tried compiling and using our product, and guess what? it worked straight away!

Then, around a week later my battery ran out and the computer was shut down.

After rebooting it, I tried to run the same software and for a very strange reason I started getting the following errors:

<certain-library>.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

The same thing worked before the reboot, and I have no clue how to debug this.

any thoughts?
