Exchange 2016 smtpreceive protocol log max file size
I recently installed/configured an exchange 2016 edge server where I configured the max file size to be 10MB. <ReceiveProtocolLogMaxFileSize>. What Im seeing is that a new log file is being created every hour. Is this a known issue or is there another attribute that is overriding the max file size setting? I made the setting within get-transportservice local on the edge server. Dave1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Provision new Teams user accounts without SfB Hybrid account migration
ADGAdmin Do you ultimately have users set to TeamsOnly mode once their Skype account is moved from on-prem SkypeOnline? Ive been recently researching this and one snag I realized is for my school...the UPN and SIP address (for an on-prem Skype user) is different. The reason why I mention this is when you provision a user for Skype Online (via adding the Skype Online license) the SIP address will match UPN. Then when you set TeamsOnly for federated chat, users will be searchable via that same address.11KViews0likes1CommentRe: New Team Room..."Cannot Fetch Calendar" (Logitech Kit)
cbotI have the same 'Cannot Fetch Calendar' error. First some history....I was part of the SrSv2 TAP and early on with Skype and Exchange on-prem...I also had the same calendar fetch issue. It turned out back then that MSFT assumed that the SIP and UPN was the same but in our environment it isnt. Now fast fwd to the most recent calendar fetch issue. This issue reappeared after migrating the resource mbx to O365. So Im curious...does your SIP and UPN for the user account match? Dave46KViews0likes9CommentsHow long until the Teams upgrade notification in Skype for Business appears?
About an hour ago I enabled "Notify Skype for Business users that an upgrade to Teams is available" but I don't see the banner yet in my Skype4B windows client. I've signed out/in several times. When I look at the attributes from Get-CsOnlineUser I see 'TeamsUpgradeNotificationEnabled=True' for my test user. Am I being too impatient?Solved3.1KViews0likes4CommentsRe: whiteboard O365 A1 licensing: Plan 1 vs Plan 2
Robin Nilsson I originally assumed the Mar 15th notice had something to do with the Whiteboard web app (preview) that can be enabled under 'Services & add-ins'. Maybe the additional whiteboard license plans are tied to the whiteboard web app becoming GA'd?36KViews0likes1CommentRe: Has anyone renewed the certificate for Statistics Manager?
Just to update everyone... I wound up using the Update-StatsMan.ps1 script to reinstall the listener and agent. This wound up surfacing the config window where I was able to update the thumbprint of the replacement cert.816Views0likes0CommentsHas anyone renewed the certificate for Statistics Manager?
The original SSL cert I created to use with statman will expire shortly and while Ive found installation steps for statman, I havent found any information on the correct process when the cert needs to be renewed. Is it even possible to renew this cert? Or is the process to request a new cert? While looking over the installation docs I see that the SSL thumbprint is used on the listener and agent configuration. So my big concern is what are the proper steps to follow to use the new SSL thumbprint. DaveRe: SRS V2 externally hosted meetings
A colleague of mine would like to join an externally hosted Skype meeting from the SrS. I asked him to forward the invite to the room but the meeting is not showing up in the room calendar and on the SrS device. He tried forwarding the meeting from OWA and also from Outlook for Mac. Calendar processing for the room is set for 'AutoAccept' and I also have DeleteComments=False. I then asked him to forward the invite to me. The invite appears in my outlook calendar and it looks like the Join URL is preserved. I will also state that we have URL rewriting software at our email gateway but that doesnt affect the ability for me to get to the Skype login page when joining the meeting. The SrS is on 3.1.100.0 Skype4B server is CU6--9319.510 Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated. Dave9.8KViews0likes2CommentsRe: sharing presence between SfB and Cisco
Most of my peers have already migrated to Jabber so I havent had a chance yet to reach out to a few people still on Lync to see how my presence looks to them when Im on a call. One thing Ive discovered: a Jabber user must add a lync/skype user to their contact list in order to initiate SIP traffic between the two users in order to see presence status. The same also applies to a Lync/Skype user adding a Jabber user to their contact list. When a user is migrated to Jabber their outlook integration will only show presence info to other Jabber users. No presence info will exist in Outlook for Lync/Skype users. The same will also apply for Lync/Skype users seeing presence of Jabber users in Outlook.4.7KViews0likes2CommentsRe: sharing presence between SfB and Cisco
David... We have a Cisco-Lync/Skype4B partitioned intradomain federation configured where the SIP domain is shared between both platforms. We just started rolling out VoIP phones on Cisco and I cant remember if presence (in a call on Cisco) is shown in Lync/Skype4B. I'll check after the holiday and update the list.4.8KViews1like5CommentsRe: Skype Room System v2 present content not working
Eric... I may also have the same issue. SrSv2 is on version 3.0.10 but I have not applied the latest Windows 10 feature update. When I plug in the HDMI into my laptop the Smartdoc icon is highlighted but I do not see any content on the front of room monitor. If you do not have the HDMI plugged in do you see anything on the front of room display like room info date/time?3.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: connecting surface hub to OMS
Update: I removed the OMS config on the hub and then manually enabled OMS and entered the workspace ID and primary key. Again it looks like the config took as I see "The Microsoft Monitoring Agent has successfully connected to the Azure Operational Insights service." But I do not see the hub appear in the surface hub solution in OMS. I neglected to mention in my initial post that the exchange and Skype for Business accounts are both on-prem. Does that matter?3.1KViews1like4Commentsconnecting surface hub to OMS
Last week I configured a surface hub (successfully joined to domain, on-prem mbx and SfB w/EV). I used the ICD (Imaging and Config Designer) to push additional settings to the device after OOBE. One of the settings is the workspace and primary key for OMS. It looks like the settings took because when I browse to settings | device management on the hub and select OMS, the checkbox is selected and I see in yellow text "The Microsoft Monitoring Agent has successfully connected to the Azure Operational Insights service." I also see the correct workspace ID. What I dont see is the workspace key in the appropriate field. (not sure if that's by design) Looking in OMS I added the Surface Hub solution last Friday but that specific tile in OMS shows 'No Surface Hubs found'. Can someone confirm that has their hub(s) showing up in OMS whether or not they see the workspace ID in their OMS settings on their hub? DaveSolved3.2KViews1like6Commentsconnecting surface hub to OMS

Interesting...I mentioned the above b/c I joined the device to the domain and unknowningly put the computer object in an OU that received a GPO. Similar to your issue I wasnt able to get the Skype profile to auto launch and had to reimage the sfc pro 4 get it working again.23KViews0likes17Comments
