This SharePoint tutorial will demonstrate how you can change the URL of a SharePoint site. Note that in order to change the URL of a SharePoint Online site, you will need access to the SharePoint Online admin centre which is typically reserved for SharePoint admins. When changing the URL of SharePoint site, SharePoint will implement a redirect such that when a user tries to access the old URL, they will automatically be redirected to the new URL. This eliminates the need for you to update any references to the old URL. Also note that changing the URL, does not change the name of the SharePoint site.
