Slow sharepoint

Copper Contributor

Hi

We are a part of a company with branch all over the world.

I am placed in Europe, and our sharepoint server are placed on east coast US, with a time difference on 6 hours.

When we reach 1400 local time, our sharepoint get extremely slow, this is 0800 us time when US starts using sharepoint.

I think we overload our server, with to many users?

How is rules with sharepoint is it local company server, or provided by Microsoft?

If local, how is the licens with microsoft, do we pay pr user og GB?

Do different office have different priority, lets says US get first right, and Europe is second?

Is there a way to measure if we hit the max?

Did any one had the same experience?

It is no help to ask our IT department, they just say everything is okay.

Regards

Tony

Do the users in the US also experience performance degradation?
Try to capture response times (e.g. via the browser's console F12 and then click the Network tab to start recording) for the same request at different times. Having quantitive data will help in the discussions with the IT folks. Good luck
