Setting up SPO SiteCollection audit settings throws generic error

Hi,

I am getting the generic error while enabling audit settings for SiteCollection in SPO. Usually, the reporting location will be an optional field. Any thoughts/suggestions please?

Are you by chance enabling the auditing feature in a modern SPO Site? As an alternative you can use the Audit Log Search?

@Juan Carlos González Martín  - Thanks for your response. Yes, I was trying to enable auditing in SPO modern site. Will Audit Log Search includes the changes in SPO sites without this feature being enabled?
