In SPO we enabled external sharing. When a folder of a modern teamsite with group is shared with an external guest, access is only provided to that folder. The guest has no access to the left navigation bar, nor to the recycle bin. This hampers guest navigation and collaboration.
After sharing we need to add the external account manually to the site visitors group in order to show the left bar and bin. This is a pain, especially since 2FA is enabled. The external guest first needs to log in to the folder, so his/her email is registered with an external guest account. Only then the external account can be added to the visitors group. Adding "everyone" to the visitors group does not help since "everyone" excludes external guests. So all in all this seems a cumbersome procedure, or do i miss a beat?
Is it somehow possible to grant access to external users to folder + left navigation bar + recycle bin in one go?
