New glyph or 'eyelashes' does not appear in Documents web part on Team Site home page

I've noticed that a newly added document does not add the 'new' glyph or 'eyelashes' when displayed in the Document web part on Team Site home. It correctly displays under Documents. Is this a known issue @Mark Kashman @Stephen Rose?

Interesting finding!!! I think the Team has not just added this feature to the modern document library webpart

It may not be completely rolled out, or you are seeing a level of A/B testing which could have variance across document libraries within the same tenant.
