Iron Contributor

Dears,

The navigation bar has been moved to the left. How can I change it back to be on the bottom?

@Bask116 thank you, this worked for me.

Hi @MBZ1_ and others,

There are two ways to fix this, you can find these below:

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Press on the 'Apps'-icon and select 'Options':0xChief_1-1672305985683.png
  3. The 'Outlook options' pop-up shows up, remove the checkmark at 'Show Apps in Outlook':

  4. Restart Outlook and you're done

or

  1. Open Outlook and press on the 'File'-tab
  2. Go to 'Options'
  3. Press on the 'Advanced'-tab
  4. Remove the checkmark at 'Show Apps in Outlook':

This did return the navigation pane to bottom in my case! Thanks a lot! @Vik99977

Thanks - this worked perfectly!
thank you
Figured this out! Click File -> Options -> Advanced -> Uncheck "Show Apps in Outlook -> Restart Outlook.

This will move the navigation bar back to the bottom.

@JD1884

THANK YOU!!!!!

@MBZ1_ 1/12/23: If opening in Safe mode and closing doesn't work, you can also try the following which just worked for me:

Open Outlook > File > Options > Advanced

Under Outlook Panes, uncheck the box for "Show Apps in Outlook."

When you click okay, it will prompt you to restart to enact the changes.

Once restarted it should be reverted to the "classic position at the bottom of the folder tree.

@MBZ1_ uncheck the option show apps in outlook will resolve the same

Worst. Idea.  Every single millimeter of space right to left is vital, especially on the calendar when you want more dates showing.  What person who never uses Outlook developed the toolbar move to the left?

This resolved it for me and my sanity has been resorted.

 Go to File > Options > Advanced and remove the check from Show apps in Outlook.

@MBZ1_

@Rj__M Go to "File > Options > Advanced" and untick the option to "Show apps in Outlook." Then click "Okay" and restart Outlook!

The Option to "Show apps in Outlook"  is missing

Unfortunately did not work.  Any other ideas?

Click File -> Options -> Advanced -> Uncheck "Show Apps in Outlook -> Restart Outlook.

@MBZ1_

File-> Options-> Advanced-> disable: Show Apps in Outlook -> Restart Outlook

@Gabriel_s74 , That option is not there anymore as you can see from my screen shot above.
What is your version and build number? (I still have it in Version 2302 (Build 16107.20000 Click-to-Run))
