Got a user who gets this when trying to open an encrypted email:

I've been researching for a bit but nothing has come up. Any ideas?

That means you dont have the public key to decrypt the email. Please see if the sender can send the email to an alternate email as a test. Also, which third-party encryption is the sender using? is it Voltage, CISCO SWD etc.. or is it Microsoft's encryption such as AIP, RMS or regular encryption?
