Hi All,
Yesterday morning 07.11.16, when we went to use the computers in our office, all of our files on Onedrive for Business were gone, so the last 4 years information has been wiped, we have only been able to find a fault message '404'
We have been told the following:
We've been in touch with Microsoft and there is currently an underlying issue with the SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business service provided at Microsoft side, see below the latest update:
SharePoint Online service is degraded
SP85297 - SharePoint Features - Restoring service
Restoring service - 07 Nov 2016 19:02
Current status: We're investigating an issue affecting SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. We determined that when this feature entered a degraded state, it caused unexpectedly high traffic within the service that ultimately led to availability impact. We've reverted to the previous version of people card functionality to restore service availability while we're working to identify the underlying cause.
Scope of impact: A few customers have reported this issue, and our analysis indicates that this issue may potentially affect any of your users.
Start time: Monday, November 7, 2016, at 6:20 PM UTC
Preliminary root cause: A service that SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business depend upon for enhanced people card functionality was degraded, which resulted in an error condition leading to higher-than-expected traffic and resource usage across the environment.
Next update by: Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 8:00 PM UTC
Can anyone shed any light on what this means for us and if there is a resolution to get all our files restored??
Very concerned user that needs help
